2022 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
@MadThinker88

Do you think the AAA team will go for championship this season? Plus if playoffs happen, do you Espino will be at AA or AAA for them if both teams make it?

Is Gavin Williams the reincarnation of Bob Feller?
Well... Feller didn't win a single game in MLB when he was 23, so I guess that's a legit comparison.
(Though he had already led the league in wins 3 times and strikeouts 4 times by then.)

Kind of surprised of him over G Rod ... but another Rule 5 name. And, does this mean anything as why now. Know Tena hasn’t played much and Rocchio is still trying to get into form. No one else deserves a bump to AAA before Naylor and Valera.

Surprised by that selection too. Is Angel Martinez hurt? He is the only MIF hitting there.

Saw a reply that they may have been looking for a 3B over Nova ... So, as he was older, it may have been a push to see how he does in AA as he is eligible in Nov for rule 5 but is the guy overlooked. So, if he does well, just another hard decision to make.

Thanks for sharing.

From the point of contact with the ball through the end of the swing he looks just like Josh.

U guys foresee Espino and Williams strikeout stuff playing in MLB?

Really hope we can lock up Shane… Cuz a rotation of Bieber, McKenzie, Espino, Williams… OMG!

welcome to the board, kid...

..with the signing of Jose Ramirez.. there is a belief the CleFO will be strong enough and determined enough to make sure "their guys" are taken care of.. Shane Bieber is one of them.. He might be able to make more money elsewhere.. but he won't be heralded or honored like he would be here.. and that's what the players are all about.. in the end.. The money is a statement to that effect.. but not the "only" statement...

We'll see..

Thanks man!

Got it, that would be amazing if they lock up Shane... Just drooling thinking about him, Triston, Daniel and Gavin as our big 4!

I'm not saying I'm right or have the crystal ball, but I expect Bieber to not be extended and may not receive another offer to do so. Fantastic pitcher, but I'm not overly confident that the Bieber of yesteryear will fully return. Then factor in the enormous amount of SP in the system along with the recent history of this team. I don't know if the writing is on the wall per say, but things are going to get interesting before too long. Mind you I'm not advocating anything. I'd be happy if they extended him, but I believe it's very unlikely and they're not going to watch him walk.

I just do not trust his durability for a long term deal. I am for taking him at the off season

Bieber has one injury-plagued season (where he was still great for half the season) and suddenly everybody is questioning his ability to stay healthy and be an ace.

The guy is great, and as durable as any pitcher out there. If you’re saying you’re not willing to look at extending him, you’re basically saying you’re not willing to extend any starting pitcher.
