2022 Minor League Week 04 Games Thread (4/26-5/1/22)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How would we fit him on the MLB roster? Would we just say, cut Chang and add him while he has barely played SS?
Ask me again in 30 days.. By then we'll make him fit if it matters or we won't.. But it certainly is an interesting development in his career. Remains to be seen how real a change this is/if it sticks.

Wrap up 4/30...

Pickington gave up 1 ER with 4 BBs and 2 SOs in 5 innings of work while OGonz went 4-5 with 1 HR and 3 RBIs... (He is telling the FO he should be up)

Espino had a solid start, while Brennan got two RBIs..

Noel and Angel Martinez had 2 RBIs each in the 4-3 win by LC...

Denholm had a solid start for Lynchburg and outside of Peralta at Lynchburg, everyone else got on base. Fox had 4 walks and Tolentino stayed hot while Burgos and Donovon also had two hit nights with Tolentino.

Tolentino at this rate will see AA time if someone like Rosario is moved from the big league club since the shuffle will open a spot at AA...

CLE affiliates go 4-0 with a +13 run diff on Friday night.
On the week the affiliates are now 9-6 with a +6 run diff.

Tolentino has also seen a drastic improvement in the BB/K dept.

in 2021 - in 48G 16BB 62k
in 2022 - in 14G 12BB 9K

Espino left the game after 4-2/3 -- 3 hits 1 walk 5 Ks .... He was about ready to pitch to the next batter when the ump, catcher and manager came out all at once. Didn't see him cringe or hold anything though just went for rosin and went back to the rubber and must have said something as everyone came out at once to him.
It was mentioned in Justin L's tweets that Daniel Espino suffered a "minor tweak" to his knee while covering first base.. The information (at the mound after his 73rd pitch) was that he felt a little pressure/tightening and, in an abundance of caution, was removed from the game at that point.. No further information has been brought out..

Doesn't sound like much... but.. we'll see...

So who was at LC today? I was thinking about it but need to leave soon for my daughter's softball games.

Williams had 6 IP, 1 hit, 1 walk and 5 ks no earned runs ... just wondering what he FB is sitting at

For the record, there is a grievance being submitted by the airplane pilots vs Jhonkensy. Items flying that far are required to have a stewardess..

Noel’s 2run shot in bottom of 1st was all the offense needed by Gavin Williams but JRodriguez still added a solo shot right after Noel left the yard..

Captains win 3-0 in gm 1 of doubleheader.

Gm2 starts at 3:15 pm

I’m here.. a nice lazy afternoon of 2 baseball games..

Mostly in the 90s from what the gun was reading. IIRC he did reach 97 on a few pitches. Hit a batter with 91 mph hard into the padding worn by batter

Looks like an ongoing issue

Lets see if I can add the video of the Noel BOMB from gm 1 on Saturday...

Flights this long are required to have a stewardess. The pilots union is grieving the fact no stewardess was on the flight.
