So Curry had a good outing 5 inn, 5 hits, 1 er, 2 walks, 4ks

But, just curious that we went today in case our pen got trashed today and needed a reliever just to eat up innings. Thought he would be the emergency guy to have before Vargas for today. But, glad Vargas is up ... hopefully he stays up by deferring McCarty or Shaw or optioning Morgan (but I doubt that as he has been decent as of late).

They called up both Pilkington and Vargas and sent down Gaddis... so which guy was called up as the 29th man?

Vargas was called up on Friday. Pilkington was called up today as the extra guy for the DH.

The CLE full season affiliates went 2-0 with a +5 run diff.

FYI.... Columbus went with a bullpen game on Sunday & it went FAST.. Time of game was 2:18.
Herrin, Scott Andrew M & Nick M combined for 19 k over the 9 innings as Cbus won 4-1.
Herrin with 3IP, 0H, 0BB and 7SO. I'm really liking him and the thought of Hentges and Herrin in the 23 BP gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

Akron wins its season finale 8-5 on a bullpen day and in the process causes playoff headaches for the AA Eastern League (creating a tie between Bowie & Erie). Akron goes 39-30 in the 2nd half and 79-59 overall but no playoff birth.

Strong final games by Tena (3-4 with 4 runs scored) and Noel (4-5 with 1 run scored and 3 rbis)..

Well the Sunday games are now concluded ant the CLE group went 3-1 on the day with a +7 run diff. The two playoff teams went 1-2 with a +1 run diff.
On the week the group went 10-10 with a -21 run diff. The playoff group went 5-3 in the various playoff series.

Columbus and the playoff teams will continue for week 25 starting on Tuesday 9/20. Due only Columbus continuing into the week of 9/26, those remaining games will get lumped into the week 25.

MadThinker. Hope everything is ok, haven’t heard from you in a few days.

Been swamped with some things at work and outside of work. Blinked twice and Monday evening has become Thursday evening...
With so little going on game wise for the system, makes little sense to do a week 25,,

Thanks to everyone for chiming in during the course of the 2022 minor season..

Season Finale for the Columbus Clippers...

EDIT: I guess the Clippers reversed Naylor & Collins as the MiLB box score has Naylor at C & Collins at DH
