Pretty good first inning for McStix... hitting the black and controlling the curve ball... Radar gun might be a bit juiced..94's and 95's on the heater...

Why do these blue Astros jerseys make me feel like I need to get my car's oil changed and front tires re-aligned.
 
Josh Naylor saw two heaters up and in.. couldn't put the good part of the bat on, then failed to check his swing for a swinging K...

Franmill, actually had a reasonably decent at bat.. worked the count to full after seeing one strike, swinging at a non-strike and getting three non-competitive change ups off the plate. The full count pitch was mid thigh high down the middle..that he popped up to the 1B...

Andres Gimenez hit one on the screws, but right to Bregman for the third out..

Onto the bottom half of the frame...

franny remains 10th in pitches/bat (tho you gotta see at least 3 to strike out)
 
McStix starts off the bottom half of the second frame against Yordan Alvarez with four straight off speed pitches followed by a heater up.. full count.. then Stix went heater heater heater for the first walk..
 
McStix gets a one hopper (with a LOT of spin) that he is unable to grab to start the double play (against Yuli Gurriel).. but has his wits together to get the out at first.. one down..
 
A hanging curve ball to Tucker is pulled foul with the count 2-2.. Stix dodged a close one there.. Triston was able to come back and get him with another pitch down and in.. for the second out.. Yuli Gurriel was able to advance to 3B, however..

they have pockets on the front w their name above the pocket
 
Stix induces Jeremy Pena to lift a lazy "can of corn" to Straw in CF to end the second inning.. still no score..

hmm... third inning... adventure and runs scored..

stevie kwan worked the count from 0-2 to full.. then crushed one to dead center field on a frozen rope.. right to Siri who put the ball away..

Maile made a decent swing and had a hump back liner fall in front of Branley in left...

Straw punched a low/off the plate heater through the right side for a single..

Amed tapped one back to Garcia (P) who promptly threw the ball into CF for an unearned run..

Hosey rolled over on an RBI grounder to 1B that plated Straw...

Owen Miller struck out to end the threat..

2 runs... only one earned.. 2-0 good guys..
