2022 Season | Series #38 | White Sox @ Guardians | Aug. 19-21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didn't even know they sent Nolan down and recalled Richie, not sure I like this, unless Benson gets more reps and Richie is a pinch run guy most nights.

If they were serious about getting games in they'd have some Zamboni sized vac units running around the field sucking up standing water, and top notch sub-field drainage. They must not care too much about how it affects fans on days where, except for lack of proper drainage and wet field remediation, they could have played.

Then they wonder why attendance is down. Screw up a weekend for a family and wonder why they might make other plans the next time around.
It’s 2022. You would think they would be able to play games when thier is a football game being played 5 minutes away. If this was 1990 I get it, but there are modern drainage systems that should have easily allowed them to play in days where there is no rain after 2 pm for the rest of the day. With the amount of money a family of 4 spends to go to a professional game it is a big deal. Now that I have two young kids I get it. You pay big bucks and organize your schedule to go, you expect there to be a game when it’s not raining for most of the day

It does suck wasting gas if you're driving in, paying the $40 dollar parking, all for a game that could've got squeezed in if it drained properly. Such as life.

Not to minimize the significant inconvenience of traveling to a game not played but $40 for parking? I’ve used multiple lots and garages within two blocks of progressive field that charge $20 on game days.

Palacios is hot right now.

And he was pretty good as a pinch hitter earlier this season.

Weekday, or weekend? Weekends run higher the closer it is to the park

Two words: retractable roof. Damn the logistics, figure it out and get it done.

Problem is it would cost the same as a whole new stadium to get a retractable roof and likely a full year... The stadium has no structure to support a retractable roof. There just isn't any tech that can make anything without adding way more structure...

It’s still extortionary.

At least u still got a fireworks show. AAA Columbus cancelled theirs due to more pending rain after the Saturday game..
Now THAT would have pissed me off lol. I made sure I stayed for the rock and blast. It's the best show of the year.

I've been in domed stadiums.

They suck...and way beyond any budget available in Cleveland.
None of the iconic stadia in any league are domed. And that includes, in the north. Wrigley Field. Fenway Park. Camden Yards. Lambeau Field. The Shoe. Michigan Stadium. Notre Dame Stadium.

All the stadia with retractable domes are expensive and boring. And the ones with fixed domes, like Tropicana Field, are the worst.
