2022 Season | Series #50 | Royals @ Guardians | Sep. 30 - Oct. 4, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hopefully, Biebs has all the support he needs…

Playoff baseball. 90 wins and tons of talent in the minors. I know everyone hates Dolan but he hires good people and never meddles. He gets nothing close to the $ to spend like the NY. Chicago California teams. He gets no credit for it but he owns one of the best organizations in baseball.
Ok. Ducking now. Incoming !!

Sometimes, you have to spend money to make money. That’s what John Hart and Dick Jacobs did.

Hmm. Why did manny leave. Thome leave. And why did not ever spend big bucks on a quality free agent starting pitcher ? We trotted out end of the road guys like Orel and Dennis
The 95 team was young and cheap. Once they were fa eligible they all left because they weren’t offered big money

Will Brennan coming out party! Mind boggling he spent the whole year in the minors.

Always, you have to make money to spend money. Jacobs never broke that rule. (Dolan did)
What most gloss over that the Indians under Jacobs had the supreme advantage of the browns being gone
Even so most if not all of the young stars left as soon as they were fa eligble

Nice try but false argument. Orel won 16 games in 1995, followed by 14 in 1996. Martinez won 12 games in 1995. Tribe likely doesn’t get to World Series without their contributions. I suppose you think Eddie Murray was washed up too despite his .323 average and 82 RBIs.

Guardians going to score as many TDs today as the Browns

I wasn’t trying to say they weren’t productive. But we could have went and got a higher tier free agent. Did we bring in any top shelf free agents. I remember mostly internal growth like now

Really sorry I brought this up. I’m am done. Just going to enjoy the season
Eventually dolans will be gone. The next owner surely will be better

Another thing all the casuals gloss over is how the organization spent money in LATAM. We're one of the premier organizations with what we've done in the Dominican and likely don't have guys like Jose if it weren't for ownership and the front office investing that money and being ahead of the curve.

There is much more to spending than MLB player salaries.
