Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Come on people let talk about the real Elephant and the room, Judge bet on himself and won big, does he become the highest paid player in Total dollars ?

Ruth played in a different era...no African-Americans, no Hispanics...no pitching specialists.

But...

The ball was not nearly as lively as it is today.

The strike zone was bigger.

He basically hit against 28 of the top 32 pitchers in the AL.

If he had played for Cleveland in his era with the schedule we have today, the only Central Division pitchers he would have faced would have been Cease and Giolito.

In his era of 22 years he was 106% better than average, which means he basically averaged Aaron Judges career year. His average season was 14% better than Pujols best season.

He did it without any modern year round training and no nutritional diets. While he began as a very big man, he played most of his career fat. He also had none of the coaching and analytics of today.

If you just count his age 24 year, when he became a full time position player, thru age 37, his OPS+ was above 200 eleven out of 14 season.

Oh, he would have made the HOF as a pitcher, had he remained one. His ERA+ as a full time pitcher was 125, all before he was 25 yrs old. 125 is higher than any Cleveland pitcher who has made the HOF, save for three.

His combined WAR was 180.8...about 20 above anybody else.

No way. He is 30 years old. He will get a nice contract obviously but it wont be the type that gets him a huge 200 mill plus type deal....my opinion atleast.

I doubt it. He's too old to get that size contract.

Pujols fetched a 10 year $254 million dollar deal at age 32.

Judge is going to fetch the same, if not more.

It's baseball, endless money dripping in some markets. They'll front load him big time, and have club options on the back end.

noon?.. the first WC round has a noon game?..

Pujols became a cautionary tale, i dont see it, but i could be wrong.

I don’t think he’ll get to the $300M mark, but I don’t know shit about fuck.

I think 5 years, 200m is fair to all, altho I think the union has an aneurysm about only a 5 year deal.

I am reading fansided, they asked for 10 year 360 mill, were offered 7 year 213 mill

a 7 year 250 mill is possible, maybe approaching 300 mill even, but Trout got 12 year 426 mill and Judge wont even get close to that.

They offered more last year, 7 year, maybe even give him a y year this year and say 260 mill, which is 37 mill a year, but it wont approach Trout numbers, like I said, he is 30 years old. He wont get the biggest contract ever, miss it by as much as 150 mill
