2022 Season | Series #6 | Guardians @ Angels | April 25-28, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
But @Lee 's MILFs do when they become GILFs...

We need some entertainment here Lee, it's been a bad week...

I just got laid by a girl i see from time to time who is a mom but 17 years younger, lol....funny you should mention this. I hooked up this weekend with a slump buster, which is also a baseball term, then i got my MILF again, so we just need a slump buster and we will be good. It works people. Rally caps on, lights down, and take one for the team.

Four games, seven runs. Seven losses in a row. First time swept in four games by the Angels in 40 years. Have we hit bottom yet?

Let's not kid ourselves, the Angels are equal or better than the G's at every position except third base, and even there they have a good player as Rendon has been in the top five of the MVP voting three times.

We don't have an Ohtani and we certainly don't have a Trout. Tyler Ward in RF is hitting .381/1.271. Brandon Marsh in center is hitting .340/.943. Matt Duffy at 2B is hitting .303/.728.

We didn't even see their best starter this series, Noah Syndergaard. Patrick Sandoval has pitched 15 innings and still has not allowed an earned run. Loup has allowed 1 hit in 9.2 innings out of the pen.

On another topic, how many bad or stupid throws to bases are we going to see Guardians pitchers make this year? It's getting so every time a G's pitcher throws to second base I'm expecting a wild throw. My theory is that pitchers are used to throwing a baseball in a very deliberate, unhurried way using a specific and well-rehearsed set of actions. When they have to throw the ball in a hurry using a totally different motion it messes them up.

As hard as it is for the G's to score runs it's frustrating to see them giving runs away on defensive lapses.

At least Franmil put the ball in play two at-bats in a row, and both were deep flies to center. He's also not chasing the breaking balls down and away. Maybe he's getting close to pulling out of it.

Unfortunately, we're seeing a lot of chasing bad pitches by the rest of the lineup. Jose struck out on a change-up that was a foot outside. Miller fouled off a lot of fastballs at the letters and in his last at-bat chased a slider way out of the zone.
Big difference between the G's and Angels in plate discipline.

This season is all about finding out who will be part of the future and who will not. So on we go.

Feast or famine. Less than average pitcher and the walks are coming and bloops are dropping will get you 7 or 8 runs. Average pitcher or better and the four horsemen of inopportune aggressiveness, poor pitch recognition, confusion and timidity rear their heads and we get three hits and a run that night.
