2022 Season - Week #2 - Jets @ Browns - 9/18 1pm CBS

I get that, and I understand folks saying we should run a different scheme. I just expect players to know their assignments and to execute them properly.
Their assignments change play by play depending on the defensive play call and offensive alignment and attack. If the play call isn't communicated clearly to everyone then how do you expect players to execute it properly?

Most reasonable people will not pin this on Chubb though. Unfortunately, I would bet that Chubb is going to be replaying that moment again and again in his head and beating himself up over it.

"Cleveland's defense sucks and the corpse of Joe Flacco will throw two touchdowns in 90 seconds" probably crossed nobody's mind anywhere on the planet. Including Jets fans.

I did not know this was a thing until now. This seems like something a sports writer thinks up to fill their word count quota.

Yes they will; the Browns defense will spot them at least 17.

We can make a friendly bet.

If the Browns keep the TOs under 2, they win and the Steelers won't score more than 17 points.

Now, the Steelers defense is very legit. Fitzpatrick would be DPOY if the season ended right now. So it's absolutely possible they force a bad to mediocre QB into a bunch of TOs and manage to steal a win.

But like I said, they did that exact thing to Cincy in week 1 and it STILL took a blocked extra point at the gun to get the game to OT.

I don't know where to find these stats, but I bet after all week 2 games are complete, the Steelers will have attempted and completed the fewest throws of more than 15 yards down the field.

Looks just like last year where they couldn't stretch the field even in the slightest.

But the Trubisky+Matt Canada pairing? It's hard to think of a worse QB+OC combo in the league.

I mean you've got the generally pretty calm Steelers media already suggesting they need to think about firing Matt Canada. That's not something you normally see.

woke up this morning thinking we won and that bullshit of a last 2mins was a dream.

Guess it wasn’t :acne:

What if he has them in there with butterfly toggles?

Then he'll have zotted himself when we see some guy walking down the street with his thumb perpetual stuck in his ass.

Gonna need a lot of spackle after that tear-out.
That's what Joe Woods and the Browns secondary are shopping for today, although that loss was more painful than a butterfly toggle thumb tearout. Same result though.

Ask Plesac, he is an expert at the idea...

But I do believe @The Human Q-Tip said step one correctly...
There's only one way to break your thumb while removing your shirt.

It involves lying to people and telling them you broke your thumb while removing your shirt. As long as you don't do that, you should be fine
