2023-24 Season | Game #59 | Cavs @ Pistons | March 1, 2024 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Cleveland is not a struggling team... They have the 5th best record in the NBA.
Excuse me sir, but I've been reliably informed that this is wrong. We lost a close game in double overtime on the road and second night of a back-to-back. Despite all our starters being healthy for maybe 25% of our games, and instituing a completely new offense with two starters out, and a bug being passed around the locker room, that means we suck now.

I feel like AC wanted to say "Why the hell did JB get away from Sam to begin with?" in response to John Michael but steadied and said something to the effect of "Well, you have to go to Sam in this situation.".

Yeah I could tell by AC's body language and the perspiration on the back of his neck (I'm sitting a few rows back) that he wanted to say "JB should've been fired yesterday. Who is this guy kidding?" But instead he said something about Merrill or some shit idk.

  • What happened to Garland’s around the rim finesse game? It seems like Garland’s shot is getting blocked more than previously and he’s struggled at times to get clean looks around the rim. He has a short mid-range game and hasn’t used it much of late.
  • Despite shooting a career high at the rim and 53.7% on shots less than 10 feet, he’s shooting 31.6% on those same shots over the last five games.
  • Speaking of which, Garland has quite the dichotomy the last two games: 15-26 from 3P but 2-17 from 2P.

Exactly my point…..where you finish in the regular season means JACK. The Heat were in the play in and ended up in the Finals
Sure thing buddy...:encouragement:

Well, I think the NBA regular season is rather exciting, fantastic, superb—you name it—and this team is winning, which is also phenomenal to have the 5th best record in the NBA two years in a row. So yeah, once a team is in the playoffs, anything can happen, which was my point. I will never understand these absurd takes... They could be a first-round exit this year or a second-round exit. Who the fuck knows, you only watch a team play for the playoffs, and your expectations are to win a title every year? I just cannot with some...You do not have any idea what will happen come playoffs...

Brew: “Len Barker pitched a perfect game tonight! First perfect game in 13 years!”

Brew’s sourpuss housemate: “Well, it was against Toronto.”

Len Barker didn’t get a batter to three balls the entire game
and this dude was denigrating the accomplishment.

But that’s how it is with some people.

I also think Allen played a pretty solid game all around. He was only 1-6 but man he was getting fouled like crazy and played through it. They controlled the glass tonight.
Even when he is “off” he’s a huge part of what we do, especially on D.

I think this was an important win. On the road against a team that just beat the Bulls by 10, got screwed out of a win in New York, and lost to Orlando by 3. The Cavs were without their best player and their 6th man and coming off a bad loss that they should have won.

But they came out smoking and got the win, withstanding a late charge by the Pistons. Everybody contributed. They even lost Okoro halfway through the 3rd quarter. He was a +13 before he left.

Have to think that if the front office saw this impact from Merrill coming, there’s no chance LeVert even makes it back to camp.

It’s clear as day which guy is the better fit on this team.

Cavs may be the only team in the NBA who can lose a key player and not be destined for a loss. Now if we could only figure out how to play when everybody’s healthy.
This has been true even going back to last year. On the positive side it speaks to depth and great, next man up, attitudes. On the negative side it makes you wonder if the pieces fit when we have everyone.
