The only way Frobley should close is if we got a lead and are playing keep away
The biggest lesson from this seasons is not about coaching
Its not about a referendum on Garland and or Mobley
It’s just so painfully clear that this team is at its best with four shooters on the floor and only one traditional in the paint/mid range big.
More than any other decision, I just don’t see how we move forward with both Allen and Mobley unless they’re both willing to play only about 24-26 mpg with close to zero overlap on the court
Rewatching the 4th. Completely forgot Niang hit the 3 to tie the game. Proceeds to talk shit to the Celtics bench lolI know he hit the shot but the Niang defense on Porzingis got me fired up off the couch tonight. So hilarious
Think about you have this idiot that our HC that has to be forced into rotation that correct enough to get his players in involved. Dnps left and right for no reasons just out of laziness and spite.Injuries were a blessing in disguise earlier. They may be the same this time around. Sometimes, JB is forced into doing things that work simply by having no other options to wrongly pick.
Wade is clearly not going to do that every night, but he is a capable shooter, defender and rebounder. He needs more minutes and we need to break up the Allen/Mobley closing line up that seriously bogs things down offensively.
They really needed this. Biggest win of the season immediately on the heels of the worst loss of the season. Huge.
Not gonna happenMobley has to come off the bench the rest of the season. At minimum that's a change that must be made. He can play 25 minutes a night until he becomes a more impactful offensive player and/or other moves are made so the team around him fits better.
But, today, Jarrett Allen is a better player and Dean Wade just fits in better next to him.
You have issues with how many minutes JBB plays his starters? Check Nick Nurses resume in TOR and with Maxey since he got to Philly. Do not like him as a fit for our roster.See I agree with u an also disagree. I've been a stough about this "core" but after that run and seeing are struggles reintegration of said starter I think it's a roster fit. The fucked up thing the time for tinkering was this season with a new coach like Nick Nurse. That time has passed. There's an odd man out who it I don't know . We need a starting wing bad. Struss has been ok but would u trade Evan/Jarrett and some filler like Niang for Mikal Bridges?
It’s not about their individual talent or the things they can do together on offense against mid season defensive intensity/effort or teams with bad front courts.I don’t see a problem with that in the short term. I think you’d see way more effectiveness from them with better fitting lineups and fewer minutes.
My fear is that they are going to heavily try to turn Mobley (and perhaps Allen too) into a 3pt shooter this offseason. Okoro always had a release that you felt could turn into a good 3pt shooter. Mobley…I don’t think it is in the cards for him. It’s much more realistic and useful for him to:
1. Develop a deadly midrange game.
2. Improve ball handling.
3. Get stronger.
Garland/LeVert
Mitchell/Merrill
Strus/Okoro
Wade/Niang
Allen/Mobley
10-deep. Shouldn’t be hard for a professional NBA coach to find minutes for all those guys, especially when one is Niang who shouldn’t get many.
Why am I seeing Jimmy Butler in some of these Dean Wade tweets lolThis is nuts!!!
Buckle up - another crazy 4th.... And really they did not play that bad either most of the game... At least in my opinion...This late in the season and I still don’t understand this team at all. Can’t wait to watch the replay when i get home that’s for sure . . .
