Two 55 value prospects + two other "lesser" prospects = a bridge too far..

Look where the price is reasonable.. Galiz, Herrera, Sugastey/Bailey, Ford, Dingler, Quero(s), Campusano etc. etc.

Patience is a virtue and we all want to be virtuous.. For some.. it's going to take a lot more & you know who you are...

Just saw Toronto is interested in Reynolds. Could we throw some prospects towards Pittsburg and bring Jansen here in a three way?

There has been a few of those ideas on BTV...

I posted one the other day in the GM thread where the Jays got Murphy and Plesac, Cleveland gets Jansen and Pirates get prospects... it's actually not really an unreasonable idea...

50 Shades of Sandy Leon.

Not a trilogy

So Austin Hedges, Bat of Mystery

or Pirates of the Carib-Leon Dead Man's Bat

Edit: You guys might know more about baseball, but no one puns like me....not sure if a good thing or bad thing, lol

A little follow up on the pre-arb bonus pool regarding the Guardians. As previously reported both Emmanuel Clase and Andres Gimenez end up with bonuses north of 1.3 million 7th and 8th highest bonuses respectively. Additionally, 2 more Cleveland players received bonuses between 500k and 700k - Steven Kwan and Triston McKenzie.

EDIT.. I think I really like this new system.

Problem is Pittsburgh doesn't want to do more and more prospects, as they already had Rule 5 problem. They also have done their typical, just because he wants a trade, he is still a Pirate and we intend to keep him talk. Heard somewhere that he could be more valuable at the deadline. They lost Sabol w 3rd pick in the Rule 5 draft and 11 in the AAA phase. Thus, they want that stud prospect where a Reynolds - Moreno - Espino would be the headliners but 3-ways always get messy as everyone puts their needs first. Sure, Cleveland would rather have a Reynold - Jansen - Pitt (Valera, Tiedemann, O Martinez) -- but it starts to get crowded in Pitt farm system for next year's draft still and Pitt would want OF who swung from the right vs left.

Please stop these fake news. Zimmer never ever was better H2H in any given year vs Straw. He's been worse career and on a yearly basis.

Your bullshit "look Zimmer's best (347 BABIP driven) 2021 season was better than Straw's 2022 (261 BABIP)" is totally constructed. Zimmer has been a worse CF and hitter every fucking season they had 100+ PA
Zimmer produced an OPS+ greater than 65 in 3 of his 5 seasons in Cleveland. 1 of those seasons he produced the exact same fucking OPS+ of 65 that Straw did last season. The other one Zimmer had something like 14 AB and was hurt. Outside of Straw's 22 season Zimmer was as good or better defensively by the metrics and you know fucking good and well how talented Zimmer was defensively and on the basepaths.

So it wasn't "fake news" and if you think Straw will produce better that's fine. I don't give a fuck, but he didn't do it last season and he was pretty much Bradley Zimmer lite for us in 22. At least Zimmer could run into one from time to time.

shouldn’t players who have already signed extensions be excluded from this? Clase is set for life even if his arm falls off and Julio Rodriguez will be buying an MLS team in the near future.
