Agree on all accounts. I was in the bleachers and there was little energy till the 9th and 10th. And this crowd REALLY misses John Adams and that drum..

Why aren't they at least playing recordings ya know?

They play a recording sometimes, but never at the right moment, and it's quite sporadic. Hell, yesterday I swear I heard them play it while the Cardinals had a runner at 2nd.

My cousin probably would do it, he's not even a baseball fan (his wife is though). It wouldn't be hard to find a respectable drummer from the Cleveland area to play the bass drum out there...

Season Ticket Holders can cash in their points to be the John Adams Memorial Drum Leader for the day. They get to sit next to a permanent statue of him that we create in the bleachers, and play the drum just the way John used to do. Have a staff member hang out with the person (or family) to instruct them on when to play the drum.

You get to show them off on the Jumbotron. You announce them before the first pitch. You let Hammy and Rosie talk about them on the Radio just like they do the Drug Mart birthdays or whatever. Give it some recognition. Make sure it means something and that John is never forgotten.
