2023 Season | Series #17 | Cardinals @ Guardians | May 26-28, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We have:
Bieber
TMac
Bibee
Allen
Civale
Quantrill
Battenfield
Morris

You can't possibly tell me that we won't be better off with 5 of those guys starting and 2 out of 3 of the remainders (or however many are healthy) in the bullpen, as opposed to Karinchak and Sandlin.

Hell, you can even add Williams to the list but it's just going to be tough to fit him in there.

My hot take, this team is way to young... Everything is on JRam on the offensive side and they don't have a solid captain like Hedges to back him up. I am not saying we have to get Hedges, but they gotta get JRam some help in the lineup and in the clubhouse...
Funny. I want us to get younger.

Amed, Zunino, Bell, Plesac, Straw... I'd trade them all without thinking twice.

This team is painful to watch in person. Absolutely great start by Bibee. Karinchak had no command and Sandlin was worse. No discipline at the plate from our hitters. Josh Bell can take the first bus outa town.

At some point do the Guards work piggyback situations with their rookie starters this season? That’s usually not something they do at the big league level but it would limit total innings for the young arms and also get them needed experience.

They are also poorly coached. Same horrible approaches at the plate for months with zero accountability .

Ever player is struggling below ability level .

Cardinals won with two fucking hits.

And 093 team xBA.

I'm willing to bet this is the lowest xBA for a team that won this season, might be the lowest overall. How the fuck did we lose this game?

My favorite play last night was when Bell swung at the first pitch and it looked like he made decent, solid oppo contact.. and it was a pop up just beyond the short stop for an easy out.

Dude's power is sapped.

I still believe Bell can contribute. Gimenez will get through it too, even though he might need this entire season as experience (similar to Jose). Both have too much good track record.

Bell has a very healthy 343 xwOBA, he's been incredibly unlucky.
Gimenez is going through a real slump, but too much talent and track record. A lot of his struggles are and have been mental and he will get all the time to get through it. He still contributes with his glove and it's easy to forget that he's still only 24yo

I was there. Two things stood out.

Karinchak and Sandlin played like they were hung over.. zero focus, just comical.

The crowd knew we would lose. No energy or enthusiasm. Cards wanted to win and at least some of the Guards did not. Kwan was super, but the just left him on an island..

Been awhile since I have been to progressive.nice experience. But their game time entertainment staff could stand a trip to the Crew. Might learn something about firing up a crowd..

The guy has 3 homeruns on the year, he has no power. No luck comes into play if you drive it out of the ballpark. He's an unlucky slap hitter?

He's Yandy Diaz. You want to release another one off the roster?
