The front office struck out on free agents.
Watching Bell and Straw in the same line up every night is really difficult to stomach.
They’ve been striking out frequently as of late. Free agents, trading away hitters that could be helping. Not trading guys even though they’re not here for the long term. Not trading for Murphy/Olson. Braves are so lucky to have them both
He does have a ML arm.. it's a matter of working him from the "loss" group of RP's to the "win" group of RP's... There is a future for him...I'm still not ready to give up on Herrin quite yet.
99 from the left side is no bullshit.
but he leads the league in stolen bases !!And they gave up absolutely nothing of consequence. The guy the A's were obsessed about, Esteury Ruiz, is now their no 9 hitter because he's not getting on base. They gave up nothing for 2 All Stars, highway robbery

I agree that they gave up pretty much nothing, but Ruiz is still their leadoff guy and has already set the A's rookie stolen base record in early July.
He's a piece, just not a headliner for a premiere guy like Murphy.
