2023 Season | Series #36 | White Sox @ Guardians | Aug. 4-6, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The way he held his hands on the second throw is all you need to know. He had no business being there. Should have rectified the mistake after the first whiff, the second was karma well served for Tito
I'll agree on this.

Tito needed to shift Arias to 1st and no questions asked. He's more trusted to finish out a win. Tough loss. Infuriating loss, because better decisions could've been made.

Same, I also expect the 1B to bend over just a little bit more and make a scoop, because shit happens. Part of being a 1B. It's not always just playing catch.

That's absolutely true as well. Both made less than good plays. I just don't care for excuse making when our rookies make mistakes. They will all make them and it's part of their growth process. "It's Tito's fault" isn't a productive reaction IMO, for the fans or, heaven help us, the players. (Not aiming at you, Real, just the board in general.)

It's just Calhoun played 1 game in 10 years at 1st. So the Tito blame is legit.

Cleveland has the toughest schedule in the American League. And people on here wanted to put lipstick on a pig.
Some people are balls deep in that pig and refuse to believe she isn't a natural 10.

No matter how hard you try, they refuse to step out of the mud--then get mad at anyone for suggesting it.

Arias has played some first base, right, or am I just imagining that?

If he has, it's pretty obvious to me you insert Joe to 3rd and move the rookie to a middle infield spot to end the game.
Bro, Arias has played 1st base. He's the modern day Campy Campnaeris.

Been saying it for a few years.

Rocchio is a terrific defensive player. Rangy, smooth, high IQ situational awareness. But he doesn’t have a big arm.
An IF with Rocchio on 2B just seems so much better than the alternatives

Sorry, I think I’m missing it. What point is he trying to make? If it’s about roster turnover rate how does it compare to the rest of the league then?

Literally just wanting to be educated here on what the underlying subject is and just context surrounding it

I wanted Noel to be up before Calhoun ever came about. He plays 1st, RF, 3rd. Organization will pull some bullshit time to time, like this.
Noel may pull a Bobby Bradley and K 40% of the time and look lost. Or he may hit a hot streak and hit a few home runs and 5-8% walk rate along with the Ks. One of the true power options in the minors and can play 1B/3B while Jose and Josh are out. He's already on the 40 man.

Bullpen doing bullpen things, I see.

Defensive is offensive again, I see.

Unlucky and all, but just such a fitting way to end the season

FO crapped all over this season, from start to finish
Bro, it's August 6th. We have 7 more weeks of this.
And somebody better tell these guys this is the effin' Major Leagues.
And if you get a chance to play you better run with it. Because you don't know if you will get another.

Do you think the Twins will represent the division well this October ?

If we're going to play the young guys, and we should, we have to live with growing pains. Jose Ramirez's first 564 big league ABs, over 3 years, produced a .239 batting average, .291 OB%, and .637 OPS. Two years later he was an All Star. They don't all hit the ground running.
