2023 Season | Series #40 | Tigers @ Guardians | Aug. 17-20, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Allen with six shutout innings - after the first two batters. The Tigers were very smart to move Torkelson up to the #2 spot.

Just points up the importance of starters being ready to compete right from the first pitch of the game.

Rodriguez continuing to get a lot of help from his defense. Great play by Baez to rob Jose.

Oscar actually took a breaking ball in the dirt then swung at two fastballs in the zone, hitting one. Hey, progress.

Another 2-1 game going into the final three innings.

What a recovery from Allen, it was looking pretty shaky at the onset.

Just need to string a couple hit together. Yeah I know at least one of them needs to be a big one, but we can do it.

smh... I don't get why De-Lo slows the pitch down to a guy who was just a bit too quick on his previous swing.. Doesn't make any sense.. at all..

Carpenter and Torkelson continue to own the Guardians. Their home runs are responsible for six of the last seven runs by the Tigers.

Absolutely nothing is going our way today.

He's not honestly a good fielder, but that was a good play....

His slash line was .299/.418/.459 before his call up... But way too many errors in CF...
He's never been a good fielder but his AAA batting numbers in STL were much better than they ever were over here.

hmm.. didn't think it was a balk.. or bad call.. the single was on a good pitch..

If he actually could field, we likely wouldn't have traded him either...

Not much does when you don’t have a contending offense. Nothing to do with luck . The lack of power shows up over a long season.

We didn't have power last year either... Problem is we had a better offense because we took way more pitches and had the attitude of, if I don't do it, the next man will... This year we have the attitude, I gotta get the hit...

a lot went their way in a the worst division in pro sports with an unbalanced schedule . At the end of the day it caught up to them in the playoffs . It was not sustainable . Stop living in denial . Let these young guys play now and see who is worthy to play everyday next year than then go out and get an outfield bat .

The organization needs another impact bat to be a true contender .
