this is the guy [edit: Gimenez] that needs to get it going.. too many hollow at bats.. The long foul ball in his last AB was encouraging.. Now if he can just lay off the sliders from the lefties off the outside of the plate..

...and he pulls one to the 1B on a slide piece going away on the outer half of the plate that Tork takes on his own..
 
Good "surprise" AB by Freeman.. we need base runners..
 
Minnesota's Keuchel has a perfect game through 6, but I guess with this kind of help from terrible umpire Laz Diaz (least accurate this year with 10 or more games called), it's not that surprising.

This is more than just bad luck. Detroit has some very good young talent. The only position we might have the advantage in the future might be SP (when or IF healthy.)
