2024 Cleveland Browns Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kickers can take a while to “figure it out”… maybe?

We hired Jordan Peterson to help Kade York, he will be walking like a lobster in no-time

Pretty evident that Watson wanted York back…

Didn’t want to hear the groans from the crowd and chants of Hopkins on 4th downs…Fans will not be clamoring for York to kick…

Watson is out here playing chess…

Savage move!
I heard he was told they signed D. Hopkins, and he got so excited thinking it was DeAndre. Then, when he figured out it was a kicker, instead of his old pal, he was so upset he stormed out of his massage session early.

They wanted to resign York to the practice squad when they cut him. My guess he has figured out he isn't going to get a shot at being a teams starting kicker anytime soon. The Browns probably tried to convince him that he needed to learn under someone like Hopkins on the practice squad and now he realizes that probably his best path forward.

I dunno... how does our long snapper room look lately?
Given that he's been a lock at the position for damn near a decade, pretty dandy I'd say!
But competition at all positions is always welcomed!

After what happened last season (the very "Browns" situation of not having either a kicker OR a punter for more than a few games), bringing back York to stash is a sound move (even for "culture" reasons). Possibly an under-discussed aspect of how much the Browns were in the mud on the back end of last season. Having to always go for it on 4th because you can't punt the ball or kick a FG sucked.

In line with what the rest of AB has been doing. A very "Trust The Process" offseason thus far.

The fact that our local media can't stop asking about play calling tells you all you need to know about the coverage of our team. These are the same people that recycle the same Watson discussions too. They cover the team from a disgruntled fans vantage point. What a waste to be a credentialed media member and spend the majority of your time doomsday reporting.

Who gives a fuck who's calling plays in March? Every roster in the league will be at 90 players in 2 months but all you've heard about the Browns is questions about play calling from a team that went 11-5 while being destroyed by injuries. If you don't hear bitching about play calling you'll be drowned in stories about how Deshaun Watson's arm is falling off and the team is panicking.

Seriously get bent.
