2024 Cleveland Browns Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One of my buddies told me about this prank Ken Dorsey likes to pull. Apparently Dorsey is lactose intolerant, so he likes to drink milk before going out to a nice restaurant for dinner and then crop dust the most rancid egg farts imaginable by other tables. He will laugh his ass off as the other tables are trying to figure out who in their group unloaded such a foul smell.

Apparently his wife HATES this prank, and it has ruined a few nights out with friends too I've heard.
I 100% hope that is true, no way my friend can confirm, he hasnt spoke to him since high school, lol

My friend just said that 1000% fists his personality and believes it.
TRUTH

I find it highly unlikely Dorsey came on board without the understanding of the arrangement… With that, it also wouldn’t surprise me that the Browns are just being petty to annoy their local media writers, knowing how much it bugs them..

It also also very much may be the case where it is undecided and Stefanski will go through preseason and training camp to see if he can do it, and if he does trust Dorsey to do it and go from there..

I'd be curious to know what Vrabel's actual role is with the team. He's always been known as one of the best game managers and clock managers in the league. Stefanski has done very well calling plays over the years. If Vrabel can help to improve situational management, I don't see why Stefanski would need or want to give up play-calling. If that's not why Vrabel is there, then perhaps Dorsey will call plays.

Personally, I think Dorsey was brought in to coach Watson specifically and give input on the offensive scheme, not to be a play-caller. Having someone else who has a good reputation for working with QBs would free Stefanski up more to focus on scheme, strategy, and managing the team/game. I could also see Stefanski letting Dorsey call the preseason games to see what happens.

Vrabel is likely here for a multitude of reasons, primarily being:

1). Vrabel did the same for Schwartz when he was fired
2). Vrabel is a NEO native and if he's going to keep his feet wet, and stay in the same during an off year probably no better place to do it
3). Browns have always been open to ideas, and they saw it as advantageous for someone of Vrabel's standing to be around in both the coaching and FO side to help... Berry has always been big on this and takes a lot from his time with the Eagles; see Roseman hiring Fangio as a consultant before rehiring back as DC this year
4). In the off chance Schwartz leaves, the Browns have a DC on staff..

You have to admit it's bizarre he won't just say it. If he is trying to protect his staff and stifle having media grill his coaches on GameDay decisions, then just lie and say 'yes I call the plays'. Why would it be a 'camp decision' to let Dorsey call plays? WTF is camp or preseason games going to prove? 'Ken proved his ability to use his headset, I feel ready to hand him the duties'? And if Kevin wants to keep that responsibility, then just have the balls to say 'I call the shots'. To me it's just generating dumb drama by not just answering the question.
It's Kevin's choice, if wants to take the whole off-season then so be it.

Wow. Interesting huh? Seems like having 4 QB's on your roster who have starting experience would be a smart thing and not some big QB controversy right? Wonder what The Browns are up to with this. Oh wait...................
