2024 Cleveland Browns Off-Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The fans are still recovering from losing Porter Gustin and Chase Winovich.
I thought Chase was going to recover and do big things for the Browns. I still believe he had a Sampson like issue and fucked up cutting his hair.

Perfectly explained. Only thing I would consider adding is a perv TE who likes Granny’s.
It’s the round before the Browns pick. If you think of failed QB's in the past, that is the round the Browns usually pick one of them in.

Does not reworking DWatson contract this year tell u what Berry is really thinking? No matter what he here 3 years but Every year he doesn’t rework the quicker he can pivot to a rebuild. It’s still a 3 year pivot. He has to be thinking I have enough talent I can compete no matter what Watson does for next 2 years. I can accumulate draft stock starting next year and following year then hit rock bottom year 3. Then year 3 I can make fans happy w a big draft maybe a young QB. I guess what I am saying he has already started survival mode for his job. Next 2 years compete years 3/4 rebuild and he can keep his job. The Watson mistake doesn’t pull him down.

I know it’s not realistic, but play along. Given Atlanta’s odd behavior at QB and their previous interest in Watson, what would you have said if Atlanta offered #8 for Watson, but still required the Browns to pay 90% or more of Watson’s money. If the Browns took a QB at 8, they’d still be on a rookie deal by the time Watson’s money was off the books.

Obviously gigantic risk/reward here. If the QB you take doesn’t work, you likely lost your job and tanked the franchise for a few years because you’d have no money.
