2024 NBA Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is just a trial balloon. There has been much argument about duplication of talent on the Cavs. Also, whether JA's resurgence is because Mobley is out. So,,,,
Would you trade EMobley to the Rockets for Sengun?
Trading defense for offense, and a little more space.

Sengun is a more complete offensive player than Mobley, but he’s not a shooter yet. He’s under 30% this season, that’d still be an issue for the time being.

Pelle Larson from Arizona is starting to come on . Older prospect but might be there in the mid to late twenties. Can shoot and has good size. Can never have enough of those guys on your roster .

My totally awful analysis from someone who just looked at a few mock drafts and some game tape: Tristan da Silva from Colorado looks like an interesting player for the Cavs. 6’9” SF/PF who can shoot the 3 and can pass the ball. I kind of get SloMo vibes when I watch his footage, though I think he’s a better overall athlete. Also reminds me a little of Kris Murray from last season, but again, I think he might be a slightly better athlete.

He’ll be 23 on draft day.

Highlight tape so he looks like future Hall-of-Famer:

What position should the Cavs draft ? or upgrade?

Any shooting with size is greatly always needed as you build a contender . If that guy can defend and dribble just a little bit then that’s an amazing add late into round one .

You realize the Rockets would hang up the phone even if you offered both Allen+Mobley for Sengun. Alpi is special.

Please take this to a different thread and stop wasting our time .

Since this is our last 1st round draft pick until 2030, and its going to be a very late 1st rounder at that, we just need to get a player who can play. The only problem with all these guys on the roster getting better is that it also translates into getting more expensive to keep when their current contracts come up. Okoro's price is going up. Wade's is going up. Merrill's is going up. Mobley's is going way up. And no one's is going down - JA, DG, DM, Vert, Strus are all playing to their value or above. We won't be able to afford them all in a few years so we need young, playable, talent that we control on a rookie deal - whatever position they play.

Watching Larson right now vs Colorado . Kid can play the game the right way… would love to have him there late in round one

People came to watch Cody Willams but Larson is stealing the show

How has da Silva looked? Just checked the box score, looks like he had a good game while getting blown out.

He looked good but he needs to put on some pounds . He will get pushed around with that light frame

Also has a bit of a slow release and is just an okay athlete

But he has good size, is a good passer can dribble and has decent form on the jumper , but he may need to speed up the release.

He will get a shot in the nba for sure .

I was more curious about him at Stanford but, ironically, I've paid less attention now that he's at my favorite school (UNC).

Anyone given thought to Harrison Ingram? Coming out of HS he reminded me of Kgris Middleton, or a Harrison Barnes. Haven't heard much draft talk about him since his underwhelming freshman year.
