2024 Season | Series #6 | Guardians @ Red Sox | April 15-18, 2024

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Taking the moniker "super utility" to the ultimate level... He will be starting at catcher on Friday.
If he has speed comparable to Florial/Brennan .... I can see him learning CF like Freeman (who isn't speed demon either). But, didn't think Fenway with all its uniqueness is the place to learn when you have 3 others than have played CF before (if you include Kwan).

No fucking way Arias is in CF... I'm enthused to say the least about this one

Team should petition the league to see if they can let a pitcher bat for Hedges or something.

Arias over Florial in center when both are in the lineup (and in the field) is certainly a choice. Based on what I can find, Arias does not have a single professional inning in center field but has obviously played some right field (and also a little bit of left).

Vogt has been cooking with lineups so far this year - I'll give him benefit of the doubt.

Let’s remember that playing outfield is not the
same at all ballparks. Some are more difficult than others & Boston is a tough place with the various angles & unique features.

Good point

I was a proponent of Curry going down, but was about to suggest that Cookie could piggy back w Lively tonight on 4th day (so lite work as long man). Curry could have taken Cookie 4th spot for now. And then decide on 5th in 10 days w Lively or cookie.

Arias in CF?

This seems a bit cocky from the coaches and not necessary at all with the other options at hand to handle the position.

Also don't like benching Freeman after a 2 XBH game and some good plays in CF in game 1 and the message it sends to him.

Plenty of ways to get Arias bat into the lineup. This wasn't necessary at this point of the season.

I think Mad made a solid point. RF maybe harder to play than CF when it comes to Fenway.
