Okay, at the moment, I feel like Gimenez isn't a guy who is getting a legit chance on this roster and we have a ton of talent at SS, so I am wondering if we can make a move with him for someone to maybe replace Bradley at 1B?

I'm not interested in trading Curry at this time.. and Donovan doesn't do anything that we don't have six guys in front of him..

Why does Cleveland need Donovan? Why would you not target Yepez who is a perfect fit for Cleveland and blocked in St. Louis?

Herrera might be a good target.

Are Nootbaar and Naylor similar players and do we block guys like Jones, OGon, and Valera by acquiring him? Ultimately, if they can get Yepez then I don't care what else comes with him honestly.

And I am looking at Donovans numbers... He is going to be a solid big leaguer... Closer to Miller type in a sense, but his bat is legit in my mind...

I want Herrera for Gimenez, but Gimenez wouldn't be enough so we would have to add likely a SP, but if we add a Curry, we cannot get a Yepez back (he will be blocked for one season, he will replace Pujols in 23)

So then looking at who else is there, I actually think Donovan has a legit MLB bat, plus he can play a bunch of positions. I actually am looking at maybe 1B long term for him...

When it comes to Donovan, go look at his numbers and whatnot yourself. He has good control of the strike zone, makes good contact and uses the whole field. He isnt supposed to be fast, but swiped 19 bases in 21. He isnt supposed to be a good fielder, but didn't have any negative metrics outside of SS. He was barely in their top 50 to start the 21 season, now he is in their top 15 prospects by most places. I feel like this is a guy who has proven all doubters done.

This I think is the best move long term. I don't think Yepez is available like you have him to be personally. I plate him being in the lineup in 23...

There are some similarities there.. The biggest difference is that Nootbar is a superior athlete.. plays solid defense in the corners, CF in a pinch.. and swings the lumber well & his misses are much fewer.. He has a solid power stroke... His MiLB numbers are very good.. and he has had success albeit SSS in the ML's.. He can be the lefty masher on the short side of a platoon.. or an everyday guy, given the chance.. Nothing he does will beget a cry get rid of this guy..

I hope no rational decisions aren’t made after 4 games or even in the month of April, in some cases some guys are still finding there groove, and need time……

I understand the desire to acquire Herrera, but Yepez is a must from them. I'd overpay to get him and Herrera. Gson like Nootbaar and honestly I don't mind him either, but we're getting to the point of wondering how all those pieces would fit.

I'm just thinking swap out Gimenez for a solid catching prospect and get a player who has a similar bat to a Miller that has options to replace Bradley/Chang. We would have to add in a SP with Gimenez to get Herrera, so I want to maximize the return. Plus hopefully we can move Chang/Bradley like we did with Zimmer/Meija and get at least a AAAA type of player back.

That's my rationale for the move lol

How can we get Murphy?...

He is listed at 65 for value, so we need to make a move to get near that, but I think that's a bit high personally, since I am not that high on his bat...

Murphy plus Andrus, for Freeman, Both Naylors, Jones, Chang and Curry...

I personally think that's way to much, but it's what it would take to get Murphy, you willing to do the deal?
