Only thing worse than having thugs on your team?

Fans that will try to defend their actions.

He's been kicked off the team for a reason, you don't need to be in the know to know that if you kicked off a DI basketball team because the school suspended you, that you did something pretty damn serious.

This. It really kind of makes me sick that people are defending abuse of a woman, in any way. I liked Diggs, but for every good play he would make, he would make a boneheaded one to counter it. The Zips will be just fine, IMO. Probably the deepest team in the MAC, along with Ohio.

I'm not condoning abuse, I'm saying that the abuse didn't happen (and trust me, it didn't...I have several VERY inside sources within the program)

If nothing happened, Im curious for your sources' excuse as to why he is kicked out of school?

In other news, pretty disappointing loss for the football team yesterday. I thought we had a good chance going into it. Very surprised to see a Bowden-led team seem to come out flat in the second half, as well as being the loser in terms of adjustments made.

He certainly made a mistake, I can tell you that...although the mistake wasn't big enough to get charges pressed and certainly not big enough to get kicked out of school. I can also tell you that he did not hurt her or attempt to hurt her. Additionally, I can tell you that to understand the full story, you need to do some background research into the girl involved.

All I can really say is that the school, in an attempt to be proactive, handed down the discipline before all of the facts came out. Now that the facts have come out, the situation has now become a legal matter.

I know from the outside it appears like the team supporting a player who doesn't deserve to be supported, but I promise you what I tell you is legit. The program has had some indefensible players (Johnny Hollingsworth, for example) and my source would tell me if that was the case.

^ Could be possible. Hope it is. Certainly wouldn't be the first time a girl fabricated a story. That being said, if she has a history of being crazy, then he needs to use better judgment and cut the ties.

If true, Diggs still put pussy in front of the team.

He's a dumbass for associating with that woman, and now he has paid the price. It's a shame, I would think we would have been the co-favorite with Ohio to win the conference this year. Without Diggs' ability to drive, we aren't left with a very solid slashing wing presence. Hopefully Tree can come through for us.

Losing Diggs hurts, but I still think we're a co-favorite.

Forsythe, Harney, and Betancourt will be important role players. Ibitayo and Justice should get some minutes at G. Egner could see some floor time as well. The wild cards could end up being Kretzer and McAdams, both of whom are highly regarding by the coaching staff and could contribute immediately.

Wow...that poster makes me more and more thankful for the phenomenal marketing staff at OU. LOL. Seriously though, who approved that poster?

one of our interns.. made it. sadly, it was approved. Being one in the sports program in Akron, I really hate this whole "Bowden Ball" shit we keep doing. I really hate it. I mean, he is the third best coach on the campus yet he is made out to be a god. I really don't get it.

How dont you get it??? Football has the potential make more lots more money than basketball and soccer hardly generates any money.

30,000 plus seats to fill. Dambrot has proven he's scared to play a tough schedule and refuses to bring good teams to the JAR, so they never produce good attendance and sadly Porter is leaving but soccer (I love the sport) is just limited in drawing potential for revenue.

It's more like good teams refuse to come to the JAR. Despite that, Dambrot still put together a tough schedule this season according to ESPN.
