Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hes above average. He's just not Rudy Gobert. He's also the best rebounder in the league. He provides us with everything we haven't had. He creates turnovers and is a vastly superior rim protector then anything we've had since 2010.
Wait until the turnstyle begins. You will leave a candle in the window for TT. He isn't above average. He basically is a poor defender and its shows during his Pistons years.

He averages more Assists per game then Collin Sexton. You know Coach B will love that from his Center.

*Twitter was wrong. It's close but Sexton is at 3.2 APG now compared to Drummonds 2.8.

so.... buy-out TT?

There are 96 minutes between the 4 and 5 spot, Drummond, Love, TT and Nance Jr. are all pretty much locked into those positions. Love and TT had been getting 30+ a night, Nance 25+ and Henson a few slop minutes or injury/rest minutes.

If this was in concert with a TT deal, it sure would have made much more sense to me.

I also can't gauge the likelihood of Drummond opting out of his option.

I wanted him or barnes....I literally threw shoes at the tv.

I didn't want Waiters. But Barnes was at the top of the list of players I didn't want. I liked Drummond and Rivers. I remember Rivers talking about how much he hated Bron. So that made him a winner in my eyes at the time.

Henson is in Detroit now. My guess is Nance gonna take a minutes hit rest of the way. And Love will get more rest days.

TT doesn't want a buyout he wants to keep his birds so we can do a sign and trade with him. Drummond is going to opt in he won't sniff 28 M on the open market.

Hey weeps, here are a few thoughts on this trade:

1. First off, I do not believe Tristan is being bought out. Klutch and his representatives played hard ball by claiming he had that quad injury. However, the Cavaliers weren't going to allow their asset to be devalued. Going forward, the Cavs have a legitimate starting center and if Thompson wants to prove he deserves the contract range he threw around with the Cavs, he needs to be productive as the backup center behind Drummond. Supposedly Klutch threw around some numbers in a possible trade with Houston for an extension and Morey also agreed with the Cavs that his asking price was too high.

2. Altman and the front office are finding value in the trade market, regardless of position. If there were a lot of centers on the trade market and the Cavs found themselves in trouble as sellers, they became buyers for a low price. Ideally Drummond and Love as a starting frontcourt is complimentary on offense - inside and outside threat - with better shot blocking than the Cavs have had in over a decade and a half to help the young back court.

3. Sure the ideal situation would be a wing coming in, but the contenders are in an arms race right now for small forwards. Now the Cavs have a plan at the 5 which hopefully has a future past this off-season. They can find a small forward in the draft. If Drummond doesn't work out, all that has been lost is a late 2nd rounder.

Also having 4 real playable bigs might be good chance for Beilein to set some more accountability for the team. If he sees a lack of effort or players doing petty stuff on the court, he can yank them and put in someone else.

Gonna be tough for Drummond to loaf if TT is waiting to be put in. One thing about TT is he loves to play.

TT also playing to get paid. Drummond already secured the bag until next season since everyone knows hes taking his 28.7 Million next year.

Same goes for Nance and Love, there aren't center minutes to be soaked up now. They now have to split the 48 PF minutes. If Love isn't trying on defense or Nance refuses to give our guards the ball, Beilein can yank one for the other.
