Andre Drummond - LeBron's Robin

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think tonight just kind of magnifies most people's frustration with Drummond. Obviously, no one expects him to post a 30/20 game, or even a 20/20 game every night, nor does he need to, at least when the team is fully healthy(tonight they would have definitely taken an L without it). But, if he can stay as engaged and focused, and seemingly make good basketball decisions, on the nights where he's only getting limited offensive touches, I think he would easily get, and in my opinion deserve, a Rudy Gobert-type contract. And it seems like he's the only person who doesn't get that.

Yep

Allen: two 20 rebound games in first 3 seasons. One 20/20 game.

drummond: eighteen 20 rebound games in first three seasons. 83 in his career

I don't think Allen is the Caliber of big Drummond is. Drummond is in the top tier, but he just won't ever have a top tier game unless he plays more within himself.

His defense and Hustle have been fantastic. He's the defensive anchor on the best defensive team in the league. He also is a an incredible bonehead with high level passing skills.

I have read that Allen is actually really good at finding corner shooters from inside the paint even if his assist tally doesnt really reflect it

The expiring contracts of James Johnson, Boban and JJ Barea and a 1st round pick from Dallas for Drummond.

Drummond needs to get out of Cleveland and sign an extension before he gets hurt.

JJ Barea got released in December. There's no deal to be had with Dallas without us taking on 3 years $33 million of Dwight Powell, and I'm not sure Dallas would be willing to pony up the picks to get us to take that on.

Wouldn't be surprised if he landed there if he agrees to a buy out though.

Then make the trade happen with some other filler....maybe Willie Cawley-Stein’s expiring. Whatever.

The point is Drummond needs to get out of Cleveland immediately. And Dallas would be a great landing spot, and Dallas needs help.

BTW, are you a stalker? Do you realize you quote almost every one of my posts? It’s creepy.

WCS is playing really well for Dallas right now. Even if they were to find a way to acquire Drummond, I don't think they'd want to give him up. Plus, he can't be traded until Feb. 5 and even then he has the right to block a trade. I think your best hope to get Drummond out of Cleveland is a buyout.

Are posts on a message board not meant to be responded to?

Your boy ain't going to be enjoying his time with Doncic. He is going to be a Hornet.

Dallas is 6-5 and going nowhere with Willie Cawley-Stein starting. They need help.

I'll be happy when Drummond finally gets traded off this team so you can obsess about someone besides me, you creep.

BTW, how's Killian Hayes doing? :p

That would be fine. Bismack sucks.

The Hornets need help also. And I'd like to see those alley-oops to Drummond from LaMelo.

The expiring contracts of Cody Zeller, Malik Monk and Bismack and a 1st rounder for Drummond.

I'll assume this was meant for me and not @Sir'Dom Pointer (but don't think you're not a creep, Dom, because you are :chuckle: )

Dallas is 6-5 and just got their second-best player back from injury. I agree they would love an upgrade at the center spot, but I laid out multiple reasons why they aren't a likely trade partner.

And once again, I have no Killian Hayes stock. I do think he'll be a good pro though. I just can't bring myself to watch the Pistons play :chuckle:

Yes, I meant to call you the creep not the other guy.

Killian Hayes has a torn hip labrum. Has any NBA player come back from that?

I looked it up. It looks as if LeMarcus Aldridge is the only player to successfully come back from that injury.

I think Hayes is a goner.

Lamarcus Aldridge tore his while at Texas, I know. He's a much larger player though. I'm not sure if that makes Killian more or less likely to recover :chuckle:

Will certainly be a bummer if he's impacted by it long-term. Always hate to see that happen to young players.
