@BimboColesHair Any in-site on what has changed with Amed the last 3 months? Hitting wise he seems to have gotten hot in June and just kept going, but fielding wise he’s been much better as well. Just seems like a completely different player this year

Nothing really changed. Just a still improving player improving off a good season last year. Couple that in with not seeing a bunch of new AL pitchers for the first time all season long and comfort/familiarity starts to set in too.

Positioning helps on the defensive side. This is where the concerns for 2023 kick in because positioning, for the most part, will be going away. But in that controlled environment playing the trends he is more than passable.

Amed is a solid baseball player. Him potentially being moved has nothing to do with the quality of player he is.

How many more times are we going to see Benson and Jones on the bench against righties while Miller plays 1B?

Jones probably won’t see time at 1B this year. Hasn’t taken many, if any, reps there this year.

Benson should see some time there. But yes, I’m a big advocate of playing young guys when calling them up. They need to find ways to get Benson and Freeman in the lineup more.

Hello Bimbo, You've given your thoughts on the 2023 lineup, what are your thoughts on the 2023 starting pitching staff and pen? Thanks!

Hankins is obviously fine.

Espino tweaked his shoulder overcompensating for his knee while rehabbing and they’re being extra cautious with him. Be surprised if he pitched again this year.

Said it before, but he doesn’t have much left to prove in the minors outside of longevity/durability.
Thanks for the update. Man that's sad to hear. I couldn't be more pumped about Espino and the meshing of his stuff with our pitcher development. I don't see him as a FOR, to be honest. I see him as a FOL. As in a starter who will be at the Forefront of the League.

I understand being cautious with him. And this is just my disappointment, sour grapes talking. But it seems counterintuitive to be extra cautious with a player whose only thing left to prove is durability/longevity.

In any case, I genuinely appreciate the update. Without you, I don't think there'd be anywhere on the internet that would be able to shed light on what the deal is with EspinGOAT. Thanks.

Sorry, to save him the time of having to repeat himself, can you link/copy what his thoughts were on the 2023 lineup?
