Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mayfield now has two weeks to save his career. At the 49ers and against the Rams. He's already a laughing stock.

Browns had three #1 picks since ‘99 and totaled zero Pro Bowls amongst the three of them. Only team I saw in scanning the list that achieved this. Non-Brown now, but Jesus what a bad pick.

It appears that now that they can evaluate talent, they probably still can’t win.

Historic levels of futility.

too many live in the moment…

From what I remember this site blamed Baker for his 2021 4th quarter woes.

Currently we got a QB who’s thrown two picks under two mins to lose two games for us and the herd praises Brissett and applauds KS.

The Panthers could be 2-2 and the Browns 1-3 without a hands to the face questionable call; but the NFL wants these nail biting games.
What about Week 1 when that same QB got us into field goal range to win?

Pretty weak to blame Brissett for the Jets loss when he left the field up 13 with 1:55 left. Only to re-enter at his own 25 yard line, down 1, with 22 seconds to get into field goal range. But you already know this.

I never expected Brissett to have a longer NFL career than Mayfield, but sure looking like it.

Fun fact, if Baker is out of the NFL in 2 years, Brissett already had a longer career than Baker. At the begining of the year i thought this wasnt possible, but watching him play now, this is entirely possible.

That "legendary" QB class now has Josh Allen and three bums. IIRC Allen was considered the riskiest pick.

Leaf and Manning was considered a close call.

JaMarcus Russell.

QB evaluation is tough. Just ask the Chicago Bears.

That said, we've proven to be the GOAT franchise at using high draft picks on backup QBs. We had eight a couple seasons ago in the NFL NOT counting ourselves.
