Still here. Was wondering where you've been lol. Don't see you check stuff in on Untappd or see you post much on RCF anymore.
2020 and quarantining had it's pros and cons for beer. Pros were limited release stuff went virtual instead of spending hours waiting in lines, sometimes in shitty weather. Plus the addition of most breweries allowing proxies. I was able to get my hands on some great stuff from my laptop without driving anywhere and/or waiting in line. The cons were obviously bars/breweries being closed for a period of time. And even still in some cases. Living in Toledo, our local brewery scene is total ass, so the wife and I like to make day trips to Cleveland, Columbus, Athens, Ann Arbor, etc. Covid kind of killed that last year. For example, I've really been wanting to hit up Crooked Pecker and Missing Mountain on the east side but they're both 2.5 hours from me and they're open like a grand total of 10 hours a week. And they may only be doing curbside pickups right now even. It sucks.
I'm also more into bourbon now than a year ago, to an extent. I was able to get my hands on some bottles of Blantons (store picks), Buffalo Trace (store picks), Eagle Rare, and OWA this year. I always participate in the lotteries for the super rare stuff but never win. I refuse to camp out places overnight for special drops or pay secondary. I don't know how it is up your way but we get OWA a couple times a month here so whenever I see it I buy a bottle to stock up. It trades ridiculously well in other states and for me it's more or less a feeder for my craft beer hobby. I've been able to land some big BA stout bottles just by grabbing OWA off a shelf and shipping it.
