Big Ten vs SEC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
NCAA gave Big Ten a full slate of of games on NYD and the big ten goes 0-5... Doesn't look good... Ohio State better show up against Arkansas...

They won't. I won't feel bad either. In fact, this is the first time I've ever not looked forward to watching Ohio State in a bowl game. Pryor and Tressel makes things very different right now for tons of Ohio State fans.

How can you be an OSU fan or alum and not be looking forward to revenge against the SEC...brutal.

There are more players on this team than just Pryor and whether we like him or not, he wears the scarlet and gray and represents our uni.

Well, today he's probably a huge TCU fan since way back. And he's always been a huge SEC guy from way back. And a big Yankees guy since way back. And you may not know, but he's also a huge Knicks/Lakers fan from way back. In fact, he may take his posting talents to South Beach, since he's always been a huge Heat fan from way back.
This guy likes to take his shots.... I've been taking mental notes of his negative posts towards me for about a year...

The Heat do have my favorite jerseys in the league....

And what a piss-poor representation he is.

Wisconsin, for one night, got the best of Ohio State. Even after being spotted 21 points, they almost blew it in their own house.

The Buckeyes are still a better team in my eyes. A blind squirrel and all that.

I do think Ohio State would have won if the game was at home, but they didn't play the better 60 minutes that day. The big problem with the Big Ten is they do not have a championship game which would help dictate the real champion instead of the three-way tie junk. Next year they wont have that problem once Nebraska is officially in the conference.

Living in an SEC/ACC area I will say the SEC has more powerhouse teams compared to the Big Ten. LSU, Alabama, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia(excluding this year) are schools that have not only been in the running consistently for the conference championship, but also the national championship over the years.

Yeah. I'd say so. But he still plays for my university. To not be excited for the game...that's pretty nuts. I mean, let's get real. He didn't rob or kill anybody.

Don't tell me what opinions I can or can't hold? The fuck are you?

Terrelle Pryor is a guy I followed very closely and was extremely excited about seeing play for Ohio State. He's won a lot of games and done stuff that I like during his tenure here. He's also had his rough spots- at times, really rough. The NCAA violations have turned me to the crowd that just wants to see him leave now and turn the reins over to the next guy (Miller, hopefully).

Does that mean I'm not excited to see him and my university compete in the Sugar Bowl against the hated SEC?  Hell no. GTFO of here with that shit, joker.

Damn it LePip. You took mental notes of both of them? :chuckles:

Try not to hurt yourself cheering for Arkansas on Tuesday.

A simple football game? No.

Serious effin business? Yes.

Anyway, Big 10 is terrible. This is no surprise. Not a single, that's right, not a SINGLE good out of conference win for any, ANY big 10 team this year. Wisconsins best OOC win? Beating the 6-6 powerhouse, Az. State. Michigan States best OOC win? Super awesome Notre Dame. Ohio State? Miami, which ended up being a sucktastic team. Iowa? Beating up on big time Iowa State. Penn State? Well, they did beat Temple. The point, not a single big 10 team had a win over an out of conference opponent that ended up finishing the season ranked. Before you counter this with the arguement that they beat ranked teams AT THE TIME, I don't care. I could care less where pre-season pollsters rank a team before they acutally play, doesn't tell us how good a team is in the least. Don't get me wrong, most of these big 10 teams did schedule foes that they thought would be really tough. Miami just ended up being terrible. Arizona State was too. Iowa player Arizona, but lost. Penn State played Alabama, but also lost. Michigan and MIchigan State played Notre Dame, but they suck too. So I'm not saying that the big 10 teams scheduled weak teams on purpose, it just turned out that way for a season.

All of the rankings came from beating crappy teams out of conference and then teams within the conference. I seriously won't be surprised if OSU gets smoked by Arkansas for this very reason. Ohio State, afterall, finished the season with 0 (yea 0) quality wins. I honestly have no idea if Ohio State is actually a good football team, because they honestly haven't BEATEN any big time competition. Michigan was awful. Iowa was incredibly overrated. They didn't get to play MIchigan State. And they lost to Wisconsin. Ohio State has yet to show anyone this year that they can beat an honest to god, good football team.

You done?

Let me ruin the suspense. Ohio State is a good football team.

And I'll tell you if they are VERY good Tuesday night.

You know, unless Arkansas beats them up like Bama did Michigan State.

Think we can all agree that won't happen. I'd be shocked.

Right, well I think we've seen SEC teams do that to Ohio State in the BCS before, no? I don't think it will happen, but considering the last time Ohio State played the SEC in BCS games, it certainly wouldn't shock me.
