Big Ten vs SEC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Right, well I think we've seen SEC teams do that to Ohio State in the BCS before, no? I don't think it will happen, but considering the last time Ohio State played the SEC in BCS games, it certainly wouldn't shock me.

Sorry, stuff that happened 4 or 5 years ago doesn't affect my opinion on a bowl game in 2011. I think the teams (LSU, Florida) that did that to Ohio State were also a wee bit more talented than this Arkansas team .. going out on a limb here ..

K. Don't say I didn't warn you. I'm betting Michigan State didn't think they were about to be blown out like they were.

Think we can all agree that won't happen. I'd be shocked.

I wouldn't be shocked at all. I think many are underestimating the effects of what happened with the players AND the subsequent Tressel decision to play them in the bowl game only if they gave him a "not set in stone" confirmation to come back next year, are effects that hit every single player for Ohio State and especially hit the Seniors extra hard. How do we think the players feel about Herron, Pryor and the others? Some of these players would never dream of selling their OSU awards and I'm sure cannot believe their teammates sold their's.

I expect a lose. A big lose.

Wow. And pundits on here tell me I'm a downer.

So if Ohio State wins does Arkansas become a mediocre team?

No. It just means the blind squirrel finally found his nut.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will have nothing to do with the consistency and talent that is Ohio State Football.

He expects a big loss because he now has in his mind the notion that Terrelle Pryor is the devils son and Jim Tressel is his uncle, so he hates OSU until both leave.

It's disgusting that OSU and Jim Tressel is allowing Pryor and the others to play in this game. I'm totally disgusted. I'm not alone. In fact, I'm in the majority on this one. There are a ton of upset OSU fans about this. It's a very bad mistake by Tressel, let alone the morons who sold their OSU awards.

Well, if it's any consolation....we all realize you'd be disgusted and complain about something else if this never happened.

And for what it's worth, most people who blame Tressel for playing the guys in the Sugar Bowl don't have any idea that is was the NCAA's decision to play them.

What sense does it make for Tress to go over the NCAA's head to suspend these kids?

None. He's going to do what they tell him to do.

Really?? Having a hard time believing the majority of OSU fans want them suspended for the Sugar Bowl.

I think they should have been suspended as well. I'm actually down in New Orleans right now and many other OSU fans share that sentiment.

However, Tressel has has a tough job. He has to balance alumni satisfaction, trying to win the game, and the NCAA. He did his best damage control by telling them they had to come back if they wanted to play in this game so that they couldn't skirt the consequences.

As far as teammates, I don't buy your theory. Not sure of your athletic background, but teammates tend to stick together, regardless of what moronic shit they pull. While I'm sure they're upset, they are still representing the name on both the front and back of their jerseys, so I really don't think there will be any on-field affects.

lol @ any OSU "fan" who basically asks Tressel to throw a bowl game by suspending his QB and a handful of other impact players.
