Big Ten vs SEC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What pisses me off when comparing the Big Ten to the SEC and their subsequent records is the number of recruits the schools sign in the respective conferences. The SEC oversigns recruits more than any other conference whereas the Big Ten oversigns the least. Over the last 4 years, the Big Ten teams have signed, on average, 86 recruits while the SEC has signed, on average, 103.

So, the average SEC team has the benefit of sifting through what amounts to an extra recruiting class to make their teams better. It is pretty disgusting how they root out kids they missed on and show them the door, declaring them medical cases or encouraging them to transfer.

The fact that OSU can do as well as they do without oversigning is pretty impressive to me.

They won't. I won't feel bad either. In fact, this is the first time I've ever not looked forward to watching Ohio State in a bowl game. Pryor and Tressel makes things very different right now for tons of Ohio State fans.

Man, after we beat Arkansas I would like you to post an apology for comments detrimental to your status as an RCF member

Says who? You ? :chuckles:

You won't get any apology from me. I cannot cheer for a coach or players who did what they did. And again; I'm not alone. I'm the damn majority according to all polls I have seen about this and all call in shows I have listened to. In fact; the only people who don't think anything is wrong with what Pryor and his kids did are the few from right in here. And Tressel allowing these dudes to play in the Sugar Bowl? Get out of here. How lame is that? VERY lame. My respect for Tressel has diminished big time. Any respect I had for these players is over and done. You just don't do what they did. Period. And I don't give a shit about the breaking of some silly rules as that's not what I'm talking about.

So no; I won't apologize for a damn thing. I don't want to listen to some silly scripted apology either.

And finally; the OSU basketball team is playing at 9pm tomorrow night and at the same time as the Sugar Bowl. Guess which game I'm watching mostly?

Who said there was "nothing wrong" with what they did? They broke a rule. I have a problem with it. I have a problem with Pryor.

I'm not freaking out and going on huge tirades about how I won't be rooting for MY FUCKING UNIVERSITY IN THEIR BOWL GAME because of it, though. I want you to get the idea that you are "in the majority" out of your head. You are in the majority that you have a problem with them breaking the rules. You are not in the majority with your insane "I can't root for my team because of this!" attitude.

Tony Grossi probably advised him on his Buckeyes thoughts as well.

According to my contacts in Central Ohio,,,, and they are vast, most of them feel like I do about this game. Most are pissed off. Most will be watching the basketball Bucks instead tomorrow night. This isn't a good move by Tressel. He would have been much better off setting an example by sitting them down for some period of time at the start of the game. He claims he knows and respects the traditions of Ohio State.... then show it Jim.

I'm serious.

According to my contacts at The Ohio State University...and they are vast, since I, well... I live here...most of us will be getting trashed and watching this game while cheering on our Buckeyes.

I'm thinking Doug has never liked Jim Tressel and is simply using this as a chance to lash out at him.

Am I correct? I'm not even a Tressel hound or anything of the sort. I like him, but he deserves criticism at times and I've given it as well. This is not one of those cases.

LOL at Doug's "contacts."

Pretty funny.
