Brandon Too GoodWIN Two Be True

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
When it comes to third string PGs... you need a leader on the court who can distribute the ball and it seems like he fits that. Also it is a team game and if he is in rhythm with the team then that's a good guy to have. Yes he won't improve anymore but we may need his mentality at the end of the day. Let's see how well he plays out his 10 day contract (plus hopefully a second one) and if he is still doing well, then keep him for the season with maybe a partial guarantee for next season...
I really do not think he has to score. He is not going to get major mins unless their is a disaster. He needs to simply keep the ball moving and distribute in his 10 mins a game. He seems to have ability to distribute although we have only seen one game of him. Will see more tonight so the jury is certainly out.
He just seemed to play with more energy and speed than pangos

He's played in two games... let's see how they decide the lineup when Rondo starts

I'm not sure what people aren't seeing. He is aggressive. He can pass. He isnt slow. He has vision. He isnt a European import on a guaranteed deal who has a shot that disappeared. Sounds like the perfect Paul George replacement. One of the best scrap heap guard findings since Ben Uzoh and Lester Hudson

The ball going in the basket when he shoots. The debate about playmaking versus shooting for a b/u PG is legit. It might not be a debate if we had better shooting elsewhere, but we don't. Although that might change when we get Cedi back, etc..

Finding shooters who are that size and can still do other stuff is hard

Pangos shot 15% from 3 during this stretch when Rubio was out. It's possible he finds that shot, but it is 100% crucial to him being able to play in the NBA.

Right now, even though Goodwin can't be much bigger than Pangos, he plays a lot bigger and was credibly guarding 2's when Pangos looks too small to guard 1's

Well we should know a lot tonight on how the team feel about both guards, as Garland will probably go about 35 min if the game is in question, which leads to about 13 minutes for the backup PG who gets those minutes will tell us a lot…….

Pangos has shot only 26 threes total -- that's not exactly a lot. And his assists per 36 (6.9) and assist/turnover ratio (4.3/1) aren't bad. I mean, he completely sucks on defense and that certainly isn't likely to change. But he's likely going to show a bit better on offense than he has.

As a PG, you can get a nice assist/TO ratio in the NBA by playing it very safe. Too safe.

I know I was mad about Rubio (and to a lesser extent, Garland) throwing the ball away when trying risky passes, but Pangos is at the other extreme. He never tries anything or puts pressure on the defense, so he doesn't get turnovers either.

His assists are just inevitable consequences of moving the ball. Someone will make a shot now and then right after getting the ball from Pangos. That's an assist.

Yes...but 6.9 assists per 36 isn't bad, and suggests more than just moving the ball. I mean, pretty much everyone is "moving the ball", and most of those guys aren't getting 6.9 per 36.

ETA: And we're not talking starting PG numbers -- 3rd PG is all we'd be looking for. I still think he sucks. Just saying that if that shot comes around, he might be passable as a 3rd PG.

I expected his shooting to be good the same way I thought Windler and Darius to be good. He said at the beginning of the year he was winning those shooting contests and he has been bad bad. He's just too small for a layup, and he isn't physical enough to draw fouls.

I think if he was actually that good of a shooter, he could challenge Goodwin, but right now Goodwin has him with Defense and ability to penetrate.

I actually think Pangos is better than I expected getting assists and his ability to get the guys in their spots is pretty good. It is his difficulty getting it to the bigs in the paint, and his terrible shooting that has me rating him behind Goodwin.

It all changes if he is actually a deadly shooter, but he seems spooked at the size of dudes

Ast/TO is overrated. You can't impact the game as a passer without being a little wild (unless ur cp3). Love that Rubio, Garland and Rondo all try those risky passes. Hope Goodwin throws a few too. He clearly has some vision...more than Pagnos

Cavs Better Go Out With Collin and Rubio money Exceptions And get a scorer That help Garland and the bigs that can score .. THEY have no one out outside of Garland that can drive and make a shot '.
