You all struck out now know your role and shut your mouths jabroni's...
Jurevicius was brought in as a sure handed veteran WR for Frye. He isn't Steve Smith and he isn't Ricky Proehl either. He's a solid veteran. While Bryant would make an outstanding grab here or there he'd counter it with easy and unecessary drops.
Jurevicius is going to be sure handed and that's important for Frye's confidence. They didn't want him making perfect throws to bounce off of Bryant's hands they wanted a sure handed receiver to convert his passes and build his confidence which is essential when trying to bring along a young rookie quarterback. They are very fragile, Couch took a beating and never recovered, David Carr probably rivals Terry Bradshaw in terms of intelligence right now and it's important that Frye is surrounded by players that make him better.
The Steelers did it with Ben, they protected him and set up the game to where he had to really screw up to impact the game. Hit the wide open guys, avoid dangerous throws and hand the ball off. Our offensive line coupled with Dinkins (Blocking TE) Upgraded Line, Terrelle Smith and the type of RB Droughns is going to make Time of Posession a more favorable statistic this year. Lots of running plays and short passes until he is comfortable enough to improvise like Ben started to.
They want him to stand in the pocket and survey the field, last year he was basically saying HIKE and breaking into a full on sprint to save his life. When he's set I'm sure he has some good "umph" behind the ball.
Don't expect JJ to be a god or a goat..he's just JJ. He will do just fine till KW2 shakes the rust and BE returns. Hopefully we have some other decent young up and comers by then as well (Wilson, Cribbs, Friz, Rideau) to learn from him.
Bentley is by far the most impressive upstart linemen I've seen in a while. He is very versatile as he was a Pro Bowler at TWO positions. Most cases you hear this...Well he plays Center but if some injuries occur he can slide over to guard and do ok. That's not the case with him, he can Pro Bowl in both positions and I bet he'd make a decent guard too.
Law your post showed nothing but ignorance and blatant pessimism, your wanting to play devil's advocate not only drained your arguement of good intelligent points but overall just pissed me off with the whole "Cleveland can't have good players" type of tone.
Law..just stop talking it'd be best for everyone involved.
