It will be hilarious in 30 years when the Browns move to their floating stadium like all other 40 NFL franchises and a bunch of condos built in Brookpark around a giant lot suddenly become Section 8 housing.
Floating stadium!! That's it!! The solution is right there! A giant pontoon boat type stadium on Lake Erie! No land usage except for parking! It's more than downtown, would be an attraction draw, AND they could cover it with a bubble instead of a controversial dome!

Eventually we could develop an entire Aquapolis, complete with parking barges.

And swim-up bars, of course.

I was thinking more of this; but a pontoon stadium also works.

Does it even take 30 years and them moving to another location? I still wonder who is going to want to live right next to the airport. Also the same if they pick it to be office space.

They are demolitioning the Sheraton hotel next to the airport to make a parking garage. So how many people even want to stay in a hotel by the airport.

So that leaves retail shopping which has struggled even in the best of locations since so many people shop online. Then bar, restaurants, and entertainment is that even enough to make it a viable mix use location with enough pull to get people over there. Like will people go for lunch or dinner on a weekday for a restaurant to survive. Will it have enough bars and entertainment to make it a big enough scene for people to bar hop and want to go week after week.

How cool is THAT! S'not gonna happen in even 100 years, but just the visual. Forget the practicality of operational infrastructure (water, sewage, safety, etc), that is just the cool factor x100! Love child of Jerry Jones and Elon Musk - get off your hands!

Naming rights to the team? The brookpark browns? And you’re ok with that just to have a gorgeous new domed stadium?

Sacrifices have to be made.

In all seriousness the team will never be named “Brookpark Browns.” That’s just ignorant.

The correct spelling of the city is “Brook Park” so they will have to be called the “Brook Park Browns”.

Just be glad it’s not a baseball team taking inspiration from the field used prior to Municipal Stadium. Then we’d have the Guardians playing at “Brook Park Park” and the jokes would never end.

I’m sure you know more of the logistic legality of the naming changing, I haven’t been following, but I have a hard time believing the name wouldn’t get changed while sitting in the middle of brook park, just to stick it to Cleveland. Might take years. It’s not Cleveland anymore.

Quit talking logically! Just post on X and other social media how much you love the idea of a Brookpark stadium and hashtag the Browns. We could end up getting an awesome lakefront park/cityscape out of all this if we play our cards right...
