How this is not a topic already is beyond me.

This last move that Bush just made pushes me to the edge where I want to rage. If this was you, our dad, anyone else we would be hit with the book to the fullest degree. This administration just decides that we have double standards and it's bullshit. Dude spied and was convicted and Bush just pardons him saying the penalty was too harsh. Wow. And now every single republican backs him up agreeing. It puts people like myself in a tough position when it comes to voting. Part of me is dem, rep, etc. So I vote based on different ideas and where people stand, but now after this I'm voting democrat all the way down the line. **** this administartion!
More of the same garbage that they have been doing since they stepped in the office. I don't where many of you stand, and it will be interesting to hear whoever can support this type of travesty.:thumbdown

And don't even try and tell me that the 250k fine is in any way a punishment to Libby. If dude had enough juice to get a pardon from the prez then I'm sure he'll be okay. Shit he could just borrow money from Cheney or just get a job from one of his cronies. Even Paris had to do a lil time. This is an absolute injustice to the american people!

I'm a republican. That being said, if someone were to take Bush out I would shed no tears for the man. He's been a horrible president, and has really left behind too many of the party's core values.

It's nothing new...happens every term.

On his last day in office, Clinton issued 140 pardons, including Marc Rich and even his own brother Roger Clinton. Hillary Clinton's brother, Hugh Rodham, accepted payments in return for influencing the president's decision-making regarding some of the pardons.

Here's a partial list of the near 500 pardons Clinton granted from 1993-2001...this is an absolute injustice to the american people. -

Kev i was waiting on you to make the thread.:chuckles: Everyone jumps on me when i start talking politics.

Every President has pardoned people but i don't know of any president to pardon someone who obstructs justice in what could very well implement the Vice President of the United States with treason.

George W. Bush has been basing himself on being all American and shrouding himself in the flag whenever possible yet under his watch America has become a cesspool and anything that he is involved in has become corrupt. ANY other nation unfortunate enough to have a ruler (and i use the term ruler because leader is out of the question) like this guy would have stormed the WH and revolted in the streets. While im not calling for a break down in society just yet i am calling for some damn justice. We all know Libby didn't really have anything to do with the outing of Plame but somebody needs to pay and if he is foolish enough to go down for him then let it be.

Another thing, I have been scouring the news to see if anybody was upset by this and just as you would suspect the left leaning news outlets are, and the right leaning outlets think its justified. Well if its justified and the right LOVES to throw Clinton out then thrown Clinton out now. Right did everything in their power to bring Clinton down for lying (well not really lying just being fuzzy on a few things.) Same thing Libby did and everybody wants to take his word for it. Complete and utter bullshit.

Uh oh, here come the hardcore pencil necked liberals, first off, yea, this is bad he let Libby get off, but lets get real, it was predictable that this was going to happen, every president does it, this is nothing new, worse people have been let out under the "pardon."

Clinton let tons of people off the hook, im not sure on who was let out or what they had done, but some of the stuff these people had got in toruble was much worse then just lying underoath, which is what Libby did. He didnt go to jail for what he did, he went because he lied. saying "im voting democratic because of this" is pretty much the response i would expect from someone who knows absolutly nothing about politics. its all part of the game, the boss looks out for his people. its been dont since the start.

The thing that most of you dont understand, is what has been done to Libby right now, is 10000000 times worse then going to jail, his reputaion is done, he has nothing, he can never get any kind of job that involves any kind of power of any kind. His years as doing anything influential are done. And that, is worse then having to do jail time.

This election is going to be so unbelievably bad, i have never seen anything like it where the candidates on both sides are god awful, each one of them, on both sides. I wish John Kerry, Bloomberg, Arnold (yes Arnold), Newt and Lieberman would all run, those are all people i would be proud to have as my Preident, not Romney, Hillary, Oboma or Rudy.

Also, this will be my only response in this thread for reason i wont go into. if you want to talk to me more about it personally, PM me and ill give you my e-mail and or AIM screen name.

We all knew this crap was coming, it just happened a little bit sooner than expected.
I watched the briefing and boy, was it horrible. I loved the dodging of questions.

We all know the truth, Bush did Dick's friend a favor, but by leaving the $250,000 fee, and the 2 years probation, he thought it wouldn't be questioned the way it is.

I love Bush's word usage of "excessive" when talking about the 30month prison term. <-- This whole thing is a complete "Douche Chill" moment in Bush history!

Bush sucks, that's all there is to it, he'll be out of office soon enough.

Yeah his reputation is done. What a joke. He is going to end up being a Fox news contributor or co-host some radical right wing talk show.

The thing YOU don't understand is the scope of what went on. A CIA agent was outed by this admin. You wanna talk about safety and protection and are willing to give up everything in order to attain that but you have no problems in giving up an agent which actually makes you more at risk. There is nothing worse than that. Clinton getting head isn't worse than that and all the ass loads of people pardoned by every sitting President will never equal this. Although Libby had nothing to do with that the fact that he covered for the people who did means he should become intimate with an 8 x 6. We all knew this was coming but it doesn't make it right.

And who the hell said they were voting dem because of this? And even if they did that to me shows that they understand politics better than you do. In this country if a politician does something that you don't agree with you vote them out. If the Party does something you don't agree with you vote the opposite example a Republican upsets me im still going to vote but im going to vote independent or democrat to make my point. Only a fool or somebody too ignorant to understand would still vote for the same guy or that same party in hopes that they would change. Now im not saying that YOU are ignorant or foolish.. I'm just saying.

"Hardcore pencil necked liberals" damn someone is really taking a stab.:chuckles:

He may be a last minute person to go in under the Independants, but right now, no he is not running. If he did i would vote for him, he is a great man and great leader. He would finance his own campagin for President, it costs roughly $500 Million to run for president, as far as money goes, most of it isnt your money, its money from CEO's, companys and other people, Bloomberg would supposidly put down a cool Billion to run, which for him, isnt to much.

I'll pass on Bloomburg. And James it's kinda funny that you would support him because from how you post on here about half the things he stands for you are totally against.

Why the harsh words? I didn't call you or republicans for that matter any names. See this is why people like yourselves cause seperation and distantce politics like it's one (repub) or the other (dem). You have to agree everytime one of you **** up or go to war with the wrong country. You back your "man" up! You know some democrats are completely ****ed up and I disagree with many things some of them say, but you don't know when to back down and admit when your wrong and that my friend is what is wrong about this administration. Why must you always go back in time to bring up Clinton to cover up your own mistakes, that is the past, leave it be. You always assume that your side is right and you'll deal with the consequences later. Sound familiar?

And if you think I don't know anything about politics, keep thinking that, I could give two shits what you and your "men" think about me and my political knowledge since you certainly don't care about anyone but yourself and your own intrests. I pretty much expect-ed you to back up your "man" just like all the other petty soul-less ****s in office, follow suit boy.

Yeah, that's what I heard. There is no way an independent would win, but what Ive heard from him, Ive liked.

I have no idea who is in the running for democrat, but I have heard for both parties, it's the worst presidential election ever.

I don't understand why it started so early.
