Caitlin Clark

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Ice Cube runs a business. He’s made an offer to Caitlin because he believes it will be good for his business. That’s it.

Why does he believe this? Because she’s driven attendance and ratings. That’s it.

If she gets ratings and attention in the Big3 that will only help raise her profile further and likely drive even more interest in the WNBA. That will add money for players, including very average players like Lexie Brown.

100%, I still believe that lots of the WNBA players and front office is going to give a ton of hate towards Clark DESPITE it being good for the league. Lexi wont be the only one.

The under-30 crowd seldom thinks of things from business angles, because that sounds so, you know, capitalist to them. Lexie is 29.

Another fun fact: did a Google, and it turns out she's Dee Brown's daughter. I'd read awhile back that he had a daughter in the WNBA, but I couldn't remember her first name. That's her.

Forgetting the business angle for a moment, she's upset she's not getting as much money and attention as Caitlin Clark. Well, Caitlin doesn't get as much as Taylor Swift. I don't get as much as Tom Cruise and I'm taller than he is.

It's not some sinister system out there screwing Lexie or me. People spend money on what they want and some people offer more value as perceived by the buyers. The business angle upsets some people but it's really about the collective choice of individuals, not capitalism, big business or the Illuminati. Silly IMHO to be mad about that.

This push for women sports is really annoying. I usually wake up pretty early and just want to watch men’s sports. I don’t mean to be rude, but that’s what I find to be the best of sports, but literately 10 channels have women’s college basketball on them. I have never heard anyone in my day to day life even bring up women’s basketball. It’s just on in the background. It was on in the gym so I tried to watch it and it’s just an inferior product. If you like to watch it that’s fine, but I do have a problem when I can’t find one men’s sport to watch when I’m flipping the channel.

Well Happy Easter to those losers

The interesting part about Clark is she is literally the only one to come down the pike to perhaps generate eyeballs on the WNBA since it’s inception ….Theres an anticipation about her unlike anyone else and that speaks volumes…

The novelty of the WNBA wore off before the turn of the century. After that 1996 Olympics women’s title run that featured a lot of the stars of that league’s infancy in 97– there wasn’t much to hold onto…

Franchises folding and relocating every season in addition to the caliber of player not being able to carry the league like that initial group did and overall just bad play resulted in an unwatchable product…

From Holdsclaw to Bird to Taurasi to Parker to Griner etc…. There’s not been someone as captivating as Clark to generate the buzz…

What’s even more wild was Kobe endorsed her game before any of this hype….Guaranteed if Kobe was still around the hype around her would be even greater from her contemporaries just due to how he is revered….

Hopefully she doesn’t submit to the pressure to take that league to the next level — but she’s definitely the one to do it….

Oh, and I’d pass….(She’s built like Bob Saget) R.I.P.

Now Angel Reese ??? My oh my!!!!!!
Angel Reese's face does not do it for me. But her body is crazy.

It's a fair point, there's been other women before her that would have made sense for Ice Cude to extend an offer to.

I think Ice Cube is just capitalizing on the hype around Clark.
