I see what you're getting at, but Iggy didn't have the capacity to be FMVP...they only gave it to him because the Cavs lost and Curry shit the bed a couple games. That award is so invalid it's a joke; the only good thing about it is it came at Curry's expense.

If the Cavs moved on from Caris, who might be a good fit?

Seems like they would want someone who can shoot from outside, of course, because you can't have too much shooting.
On defense they would need someone with a long wing span fits somewhere between Okoro & Wade.

So what free agents are there at the "just a little more than the MLE" level that fit that bill?

I don’t think we have cap space for someone else but I’m not a cap expert. I would be very surprised if Caris doesn’t re-sign with us.

I think they will try to trade Cedi and 2nd round picks for a more reliable 3&D (Royce O’Neal has been mentioned by some). Then re-sign LeVert to a 2-3 year deal for hopefully ~13 million per year.

If those two things were to happen, all that’s left would be to find a backup Center.

Gotta keep this guy. He is a vital connecting piece for this roster and has truly learned to approach the game as a glue guy. I think he’ll get better and better catch and shooting as he gets more opportunity in that role.

He’s this group’s Iguodala.

It’s a massive challenge, but they need to find more shooters without losing Caris.
