I'm not quite sure if bagging the team and giving up on them after every single loss gives anyone the title "A Realist".
True, but playing a team on the road that has one of the 3 best records in all the NBA, pretty much is a tale/tale sign of what is about to happen...

Other than SUPERFAN, HPD, :chuckles: I think everybody here was shocked to no end that this team had a 15 point lead in Miami (twice).... Why ? Because that is not expected of this team...Cause quite frankly, they are not that good and if some can't realize that after 60+ games, then they might not ever get it... This is a one man team, that half the time has a 7-3 center show up with him to the dance and if we're lucky, perhaps someone else will show up too.... We are shocked when anyone from our bench shows up... When Damon and Donyell does well, we are SHOCKED... HOW SAD IS THAT, SHOCKED...We are SHOCKED when Snow has a good game... We are SHOCKED when Drew puts together a complete game... (See, other winning teams don't have that problem, because they have consistent performers for most nights... )

For example... Dallas is NOT SHOCKED when they get something from Terry, Howard, Daniels, Stack ect......

Miami is not shocked when they get Production from... Mourning, Posey, Walker, Haslem, Williams, Payton ect.....

PHX is not shocked when they get production from ... House, Barbosa, Jones, Bell,Diaw,

You can go down the line on the rest of these so called "Winning teams".... The damn Cavs are in another boat, because they are shocked when they get production from other guys not named LeBron and Zydrunas....

It's really Sad...

Hell, any time this team plays on the road we pretty much know the outcome.... We have a solid base for a comparison...They are what they are.. An average team....

Needing a buzzer beater to beat the Raptors and getting smoked by 30 to the Magic does not encourage me at all about the state of the team...

Unlike some, I don't fall into a false sense about this team after they get 4 w's against the Bulls and Raptors... (I kinda become a Mild A-MAC :chuckles: )

A few more wins against some qualitiy teams, please....

A realist is someone who doesn't go overboard and be a homer predicting that we win everygame. And doesn't go out and predict we will lose every game either. I've predicted Cavaliers wins AND losses.

Beating the lower echelon east teams and getting jacked by a Franchiseless Magic isn't really bringing out the optimism in me. I love the Cavaliers but will I be fooled into beleiving we will win games that we won't? No, but I also won't say we will get rocked by the Bobcats or lose to the Blazers.

Don't think that I'm a weak fan by predicting losses like I would a win. Pip was dead on the only guy we can count on is LeBron. And it sucks..

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

maybe lebron is the problem. team knows if they have an off game they can count on lebron to come save them so a few mistakes dont matter as much to the individual, problem is the whole team thinks that way.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

As a Mavs fan heres the Mavs lineup

PG- Jason Terry
SG- Jerry Stackhouse
SF- Josh Powell
PF- Dirk Nowitzki
C- DeSagana Diop

Darell Armstrong
Marquis Daniels
Erick Dampier

Howard,Griffin,Harris,KVH aren't playing

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Huge confidence boost if we can steal this one.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

But who will guard Dirk? Gooden, maybe try a taste of LBJ on him?

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Well no better chance to upset the Mavs with Howard, Harris and Van Horn all out. LeBron has a huge mismatch going up against Rawle Marshall, but I expect to see alot of Jerry Stackhouse.

The key again though is our backcourt efficiency, which includes chipping in with some offense and getting the ball inside to Ilgauskas who has to be licking his lips with his matchup with Flop.

Stackhouse and dampier will give the Mavs a spark. Jones, Marshall and Varejao need to at least match that.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Game time thought : Diop sucks

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Gooden with the early hoop and offensive board. he has been a strong starter lately but has faded as the game went on. We need 30 strong minutes tonight.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Marquis Daniels would be soo good in our lineup. Anyways....Z owns Diop.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Yet another layup over the glass by Snow....at least he's consistent.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Cavs controlling the ball and working the boards. This will slow the Mavs to play a game closer to our tempo!

Do we have a tempo???

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

With Ilgauskas and Drew cleaning the glass and limiting Nowitzki so far to long J's we are in control. Maintaining this will be tough as we usually mentally implode.

Keep pumping the ball inside.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

Some good quick easy points. I really like LeBron on the defensive boards as he really pushes the ball.

Re: Cavaliers @ Mavericks

I hate Snow and Jones playing together. Straight away we look worse.
