Love to Spurs
Richardson and McDermont to Cavs why Spurs make that trade they shed 25 Million in next year Salaries…….

Feel like love provides more value to us than either of those two would. Can't underestimate Kevin's value as a team leader and locker room glue guy

I'd pass on that. J. Richardson is on an expiring contract. McDermott isn't and he sucks. Either Richardson walks or his agent tries to leverage an above-market contract out of us.

I'd rather attach seconds to one of Cedi or LeVert and just trade for Richardson. If the Spurs aren't willing, make a run at him or TJ Warren in the summer. It's just a really shitty time to be a buyer in this market.

When thinking of the Spurs, the guy that might interest me most as a reasonable get is Zach Collins.

For A 28 million expires contract , I need more than a Team leader or locker room glue guy…….I having gave up on him , but his play has been pretty bad for a long time now, I believe he 1 for 18 on his lasts 18 attempts from 3……And his defense, that’s another story……

Hes playing with an injured thumb. I think you undersell his on court value as a rebounder, passer, high iq player. Is he worth 28m? No. But he is better than the guys thr worst team in the league is trying to dump

His thumb is hurt but championships aren't won in January so patience might be a virtue here. The very real problem is we're not getting a big man back and we're thin as can be in the frontcourt after trading Lauri. If you want to call McD a small ball PF, that's fine I guess but his defense is every bit as bad as Love's. Possibly worse because he doesn't even attempt to defend the restricted area.

We're kind of just stacking the roster with meh SFs with this trade. I mean Wade, LeVert, Okoro, Cedi, J. Rich, McD, and Stevens is lot of pupu platter at the wing, quantity doesn't beat quality, and other than give the fans more opportunity to criticize JBB's rotations and complain about players not getting minutes, what does it actually get you?

You underestimate how valuable this is for the board and fan base. I still don't do the trade tho
 
I'd really like to add more shooting, but I'd be inclined to punt this deadline if sellers don't come down on their asking price. It's just stupid out there right now and if teams looking to dump contracts aren't willing to compensate the Cavs for taking them, then use the full MLE this summer and just sign one of these guys.
