Who on this team does Eric Gordon take minutes from?

This is my thought too. Would love to get Eric Gordon for this bench. Him and Love would rain threes and space the floor. Throw in Windler and you have three marksmen. I think a combo of Rondo and Gordon makes up for Rubio's production.I like Gordon but giving up no FRP for him……
I'm really confused why so many want to make such big changes to a team that, when healthy, has shown to be a top 3-4 team in the conference, despite not a single starter being able to rent a car without parental permission.
This team has *barely* played half a season, and played less than a handful of games whole. Their best players have all missed a decent amount of time with injuries or covid. All that and they're still 2.5 games out of 1st in the Conference. They have 2 should-be All-Stars and a likely ROY. *No one* thought this team would be this good this year. If this was a veteran team with a tight championship window, I'd understand pushing all your chips to the middle and trying to cash in this season. These guys are young pups, though. This year is house money. See what we really have and *then* make a move in the offseason.
I can't see Toronto trading OG for anyone short of a star and multiple first round picks. It's like trading for Brandon Ingram. Him and Barnes are their core. They hope OG develops into a Kawhi. If they could get him though... oooh boy.
Would like to get Robin Lopez along with Gary Harris if we could. I don’t think we can do much better than that without giving up something really valuable to us.

Just bc Stevens won us a few games means you aren't going to trade for say Brandon Ingram if he is available bc Stevens was good? This is a more extreme example but someone like Eric Gordon has a very clear skillset that we can easily fit into the rotation. He would instantly be our 2nd best playmaker on the perimeter. You play Okoro a bit less, drop the rando wing mins of Stevens/Windler (one of whom is probably gone in such a trade), and probably play Cedi a bit less. 100% worth it.There are 240 minutes available per game.
I don't think people are taking roles into account with these trades. Many are looking to add more backup players, players that aren't long term adds, or expensive versions of players we already have. Many are also looking to cut minutes/roles/development of players that are under 25, or still on their first contracts, without finding out what you have in these players first.
Just in the last week, can you imagine Stevens and Okoro not playing so Eric Gordon or Gary Harris could have some minutes? Those guys (Okoro and Stevens) have won us games in 2022, and still have lots of development possibilities. Why are folks wanting to stifle that for the same of *maybe* winning another game this year?

I see Gary Harris as the perfect Buyout candidate if not traded….He’s a expiring contract just like Rubio…….I am not sure i see the value of Lopez, but Gary Harris would be nice, but to give you an idea, he is scoring less than 2 points a game more than Okoro,
