They are petulant, classless and odious simply because they have no real stake in whether the Warriors win or lose and thus can care less how they are perceived by the rest of the NBA community. That the Warriors are now reviled by most NBA fans, coming off a mountain of good-will, speaks volumes about these fair-weather yuppie spawn and their douche-bag, entitled team. FUCK THEM.

I do wish people on this forum would stop pussy footing around and just come out and state what irks them.

On a brighter note, just got home from the pickle factory and SWMBO says "close your eyes". As a suspicious bastard I refused until she promised it was something nice. As our wedding anniversary is in two days she told me it was an early present, so I meekly complied. Opened my eyes to find myself staring at a Cavs "All in 2016" T-shirt, in the special extra fat size. Now means that Saturday morning, my time, I can put the T-shirt on, sit myself down in front of the box, and tell the world to get fucked for a few hours. As I'm fairly certain that the sun will be well above the yardarm at some time during the game I'll almost certainly open a beer or three as well. As it will be the day after my anniversary it won't matter too much how badly I get in the shit as a few brownie points will have been collected the day before - at least hopefully.

Now just need the boys to crush the warrior scum, and life will be replete.

Its weird, but people from outside Ohio really do have this thought that Ohio is just like another Kansas or Iowa.

Well, it kind of is.
Once you get out of the urban centers. I mean, if you've ever taken a ride through "The Barrens Of I-71", or I-77 when you get out of Canton (and even around those towns), it's pretty much that kind of place. That's not unique to (or characteristic of) Ohio, however.

Cleveland is special because while it does have a good deal of what was once called "Middle America" about it, it's also a bit removed from it due to a number of factors; there was some weird map in an article I read recently where it was discussed about the cultural markers of American cities, and Cleveland (and a deal of Northeast Ohio) were classified as "Yankee", same as a lot of the cities in the Northeastern United States. It was called such because of where a lot of the people who moved there (initially) came from.

Houston and Kansas City have it too.
It's about to be a good bit of the "middle market" cities if it isn't already, the way things have been going...

But I digress, the things they say about Cleveland are silly because Cleveland, for some odd reason, has for a long time been the butt of a joke in a way that seemed so random. Like, "oh, I guess it would be funny if we said some city in Ohio". It's kind of like how I randomly make "Sicklerville" comments that only people from Philadelphia seem to get.

Cleveland is certainly not unique when it comes to urban decay and neglect. Pick any city in the Midwest (including Chicago). Or the South. Or the Northwest, that doesn't have an industry to not only bail it out, but reform that decayed area into a "retreat" for affluent people (see: San Francisco and the slowly but surely the rest of the Bay Area, NYC, etc.).

Lying down in bed at 10pm on a Wednesday night. And it's just dawned on me that we're playing the Golden State Warriors in an NBA Finals rematch in less than 48 hours.

I've tried to stay away over the last few days to marinate and savor the moment.

But now that it's so close, the nerves are kicking in like a Spanish bull to a red cloth. I can feel it. I can taste it. I can close my eyes and visualize it.

And yet there's still a part of me that feels a severely anxious pain at the thought that we may not do it again this season. We've never been closer to a championship than we are now. But just as easily as I can visualize LeBron hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy, I can see Steph knocking down 3s and knocking out gut-punches to Cavs fans across the globe.

All we can do is trust in this team. They've been salivating at the thought of revenge for 12 months. Now it's time to deliver.

We will lose a game or two or three. It may be tomorrow. We may go down 0-2. It may happen. But until we lose at home, don't give up. We only need to win at home and win one game on the road.

Now isn't the time to be timid or pessimistic. Are the Cavs All In? You bet your ass they are. I think we owe them the same. I'm All In. I'm locked in and ready. We are bringing it home this year.

I have this thought about Ohio.

Fashion is a little behind, half of the state is farming, you have threads like the transgender one..

I wouldn't make a tweet about it, it's nut that strong a point, but it's a little behind

Farming is bad? That's strange.

This reminds me of a somewhat related complaint that I've had recently, and that is that so much media coverage of the NBA is so very concerned with social media and what people say on it. I get that getting people involved and invested leads to more clicks/views/listens, but, damn, does the content suffer for it.

Go listen to Hey Windy! on the radio and tell me how many times in their twitter Q&A section they've had to answer someone's "how much as J.R. improved this year?" tweet.

And ESPN has guys like Amin Elhassan whose role is apparently to be slightly smarter than idiots on twitter. All of his analysis starts "I see these people online saying [puts on weenie-guy voice] 'but blah blah blah,'." Then he chuckles to himself says "nah, man, I mean, just nah," and corrects whatever obviously stupid thing some jack-off apparently said. Keep up the good work, man.

Oh how far we've come...Before the series starts, i just want everyone to sit back, relax, and appreciate what we've accomplished this season. Getting to back-to-back Finals is no easy task. Savor this moment...The calm before the storm is upon us.

Hey guys, while doing the voodoo rituals and chants for a California earthquake apocalypse post Cavs finals victory, can you do me a solid and leave Long Beach out of the carnage?
Not a chance.

NO MORE ANALYTICS

BEAT THESE FUKCERS TO DEATH!!!!!

I WANT THE TITLE!!!!!!!!!

We could have won the championship that year only if Bynum stayed healthy.
