Brown had a defensive rating of 106, Cedi's was 118How are Browns defensive numbers? I'm surprised because it was supposed to be a good defensive team.

Well that’s 30M spent. Reasonable if there is improvement.
He’s listed as 6’7 nowNo.
It's reasonable even if he regresses. It's a steal if he stays the same and if he improves and become a legit starter then Koby fucked Cedi in the ass bank robbery.
It's basically MLE money for a young, 6'8.5 wing.

it is but who is our SF if he is our SG? Windler? Deni..?6'8.5 with shoes
He is as tall as Nance. 2 inches taller than Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. That's a tall SG.

I can’t see how anyone can’t think this was a helluva coup by Altman. My only reg is that he didn’t get Nance on a deal like this.
Honestly, I really do not think Cedi is a net positive player, nor do I think he will ever become one as a starter/key cog.
The great thing about this contract is, if I am wrong, holy steal, batman. If I am right, though, a contender may be able to talk themselves into Cedi as a back-of-the-rotation wing who can learn to defend well in the right system. I.E., it is a super tradable contract.
I've also wondered if the Cavs' goal is to use Cedi to move a guy like Love for fair value?Started off the season on the right foot. The more games like that he has (3/6 from deep, 2 assists, 2 steals), the more his value will rise as a "missing piece" positionless bench wing type. Exactly the kind of player contenders trade a late first and an expiring for.
