Cleveland Browns 2019 season predictions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mental health is everything, I think we will start seeing more players doing this. He’s doing what’s best for his health, made his money and that is it.

Posted this in the NFL thread. I can't blame him for retiring.

Physical toll on Andrew Luck through 6 NFL seasons: » Torn cartilage in 2 ribs » partially torn abdomen » a lacerated kidney that left him peeing blood » at least 1 concussion » a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder » and this mysterious calf/ankle issue that led to this.

Not worth putting your body through that. I can't imagine football would be much fun at that point.

Definitely get his decision to retire. Brutal list of injuries. Also understand frustrated fans though. Oof. Luck’s a good guy though. Shame, but at least he escapes the NFL before his brain turns to mush and a very rich man.

Sad conclusion to a generational talent. Grigson never went after offensive line help and let him get pulverized. Those years when he would lead Indy into AFC Championships against Brady and the Pats were must watch football.

People feel like they can cheap out on the OL, save the cap for the skill positions.

But, time and time again, that is how you lose your franchise QB.

Hopefully Dorsey is simply waiting for this draft to address the obvious weakness on this team.

Why are we bashing the Colts line? They have three first rounders starting for them and one second rounder. They have Quenton Nelson who I feel is the best offensive lineman in football.

That Colts line is really good. Now if we want to bash them historically, sure. Go for it. But they've invested the draft capital there recently.

I think the bashing comes from the fact that it was a little too late when they started to invest. Look at the list of injuries god father posted. Most of those happened during a time they felt giving up first rd picks for Trent Richardson were “game changing” moves. All the while, not investing in protecting their generational talent under center.

Let’s hope Dorsey is keeping an eye on that situation.

Like I mentioned, the blame falls on Ryan Grigson, not the current front office. Chris Ballard, who worked under Dorsey in Kansas City before joining the Colts, has been crushing it since he took over.

I think he's the best GM in the game. If indy ever gets rid of him due to the rebuilding Luck dropped in their lap, I hope we scoop him up

w/o Scottish Hammer: 10-6, playoffs
with Scottish Hammer: 13-3, Super Bowl

But seriously, I'll go with 12-4. We lose to Pats, Rams, Steelers once, and some other team we should beat on paper--San Fran, Seattle, Ravens--because shit happens.

I'd throw in a fifth loss in the final week because we'll be sitting players...but it's against the Bengals.

Thought 9-7 would be a good step for this team and 11-5 would be the "if everything goes right" record.

If we can't get this game vs the Jets this could turn into a 6-10 type season. In the six game stretch of Rams, Ravens, 49ers, Seahawks, Patriots, and Broncos, the 49ers games could wind up being the only game we're actually favored to win and that game is in SF.

Really need this Jets game to gain some confidence for the upcoming stretch.

Good news is they will have some high draft picks to fill the O-line voids.

Nothing has changed from my 10-6 prediction which I may or may not have made on here. Really not much has changed with my outlook.

They’re a good team that got bitchslapped by a good team.

They have an excellent QB and a bunch of talent on offense everywhere except on the line. They also have talent everywhere on defense except linebacker, with one exception (Scho).

Penalties will be an outlier and they’ll be fine. I think they can scheme around that line, assuming they arent starting every possession at 1st and 20. Jets game will probably be nervewracking but I think they’ll win it.
