Cleveland Browns 2020 Regular Season: What a Ride!

That video describes exactly why Baker and OBJ aren't clicking. Baker can't ball and OBJ knows that.
OBJ can't ball and he knows that which is why he runs his mouth and sucks endlessly. Trade OBJ and the muffins finally get baked properly.

We have to look at what the truly elite receivers in the league can do. DeAndre Hopkins contibuted to a win yesterday for the Cards. On the road against a good D. He caught most of everything thrown in his direction. First downs, touchdowns, fighting for yards. He made a difference. Davante Adams too. Marquise Brown.

What has Odell added to Cleveland? I can think of the first TD against the Jets, a catch and long run versus a blown coverage and the TD on a long 4th and goal against the Bengals in the dying embers of week 17 last season. Other than that it's vapors. The scent of what he used to be. Don't let this washed-up diva destroy a QB who is genuinely the best thing that's happened to this franchise in two decades.

The Baker of 2018 made plays. With Jarvis, with Njoku, Higgins and Perriman. Callaway even. They seemed to enjoy a freewheeling, balling style of football, feeding off of each other. It was fun to watch.

Acquiring Beckham has sucked the life out of this team. Watching his leaden attempts to wheel around in the open field after his few successful catches yesterday was truly pathetic. He seems determined to turn his decline into an "Either Me or Baker" drama. He should be jettisoned very quickly. Have the front office got the balls to do it though?

I mean, talk about what you want, the Browns weren't going to beat Baltimore yesterday.

Baltimore was clearly the best team in the league playing yesterday, a team that had 2 years of continuity and the reigning MVP.

Perspective helps.
I think just as much overreaction going on for the Browns is going on for the Ravens as well currently

honestly I think the Steelers are going to absolutely harass Lamar and pose a serious threat to them in the division

I'm pretty sure Odell changed for the worse in 2017 when he broke his ankle and missed 12 games. He had nice stats in 2018 but the Giants traded him after that season and there was a ton of Eli drama that year. I don't think that trade was a complete accident...

Odell himself admitted he contemplated retirement in 2017 and once your head goes there, you've mentally checked out.

I think he's been a terrible influence for this team.

I loved the Odell trade and haven't been that excited about a Cleveland player acquisition maybe with the exception of LeBron returning in 2014...

But he just isn't the right fit our team.

Well...it wasn't Andrew Berry who traded all those assets for him, so he doesn't have to CYA. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he was actually released...except for the Landry factor. Trading him might happen, although I'm not sure he'd be all that desirable given his salary. But releasing him probably won't happen unless it has Landry's ok.

If the Browns start out slow over the first ~5 games, OBJ to SF makes way too much sense for both sides.
Deebo will be back by then. OBJ is currently worth nearly as much as Antonio Brown.

I wouldn't say he has 15 more games. If he continues to play like shit, his trade value decreases with each game. I don't know what the magic number is, but at some point you need to cash out on an asset before it loses all value.

OBJ also can't catch a damn ball, I don't give a shit what he thinks about Baker or anyone else.
I think it’s fine to let an asset lose all value if the value you recoup is very small And the volatility of the asset remains high

if I have a call option on Tesla that’s 30% out of the money and expires next Friday and I can cash it out for literally pennies on the dollar, but it’s one of the most volatile stocks there is, I’m holding. The difference between a 95% loss and 100% loss isn’t going to make my portfolio. But if that asset rebounds its potential payoff is substantially high and worth taking the risk of the most likely scenario of it expiring for nothing

I don’t like the idea of needing to recoup something for any player. That pick was made. It’s over. The question should be entirely what do you value more:

1. whatever asset we can get in return
2. However many games we have left at the time of the trade that gives Mayfield a chance to turn it around over a longer time frame

I really don’t care about sunk costs. All decisions should be made entirely looking at future (Market) values Instead of past (book) values

Baltimore is literally the only team that I consider unbeatable on our schedule. We need to improve a ton but we could and should be in every game except Baltimore.

Defense needs alot of improvement as well im hoping our FO is atleast looking to see whose available.

If we could undo that trade, we'd unquestionably be a better team for it. We'd have an elite RG, a competent starting Safety, and another 1st round pick to fill in one of a handful of gaps on the roster.

The trade looked like a huge win because of the player OBJ used to be. But he hasn't been the same since his injury in New York.

If it's any consolation, Wyatt Teller looked amazing. Had the highest PFF grade of our entire offensive line (91.2) and was virtually impenetrable in the run game.
