Off to a flying start

Look at the glassy eyes. He's under the influence of something.

It's a shame 'cause the guy is very talented and I really thought he had turned things around. He was likely on a short leash, anyways, so I imagine this may end his career as a Cleveland Brown.

Besides improved QB play, DT is, IMO, the biggest need on this team.
It's a big need, but so is WR, especially if they dump Landry's contract this offseason, like many think they will.

I don't know that this front office prioritizes DT enough that they would consider one in the first round. It will likely get addressed in free agency and the draft, at some point.

How is WR a bigger need than DT? Malik Jackson and Malik McDowell were both on 1 year deals right? We were always going to need an upgrade at DT after the season ended one way or another.

I'm trying to figure out where all the hype for DPJ went. Jarvis Landry is still a good WR the only questions with him are contract related but on the field he's still good.

We don't have a single DT who is good right now. Plus we should definitely be trying to bring back Clowney but we have to find a real upgrade at DT. I'm not worried about AB fixing the WR room. Fixing the QB room will improve the current WR right away anyway. The only way to fox the DT position is to bring in some good talent there. We at least have good talent at WR.

Use all the picks and WR and DL (DT&Edge), imo

Best player available, regardless of position.

Even if we spent every pick on WR and DL we are still going to have to sign some veterans at each spot. Our WR room can't be Landry (if he restructures), DPJ, and some rookies. Same with DT.

So if a great talent falls to us, I say take him or at worst trade back.

Absolutely this ^

With a few exceptions (running back, offensive guard and cornerback IMO) where the Browns already have very good/elite talent signed to long-term contracts.

Otherwise...

QB, WR, TE, OT, DE, DT, LB, S are all on the table in the first two rounds. If they're the best player on the board, any one of these positions can use more elite talent.

I think it's harder to obtain good talent at DT in the offseason than at WR.

WR is one of the easiest positions to upgrade.

I'd definitely invest at DT early in the draft and even with the 1st round pick if he was in the "BPA tier". It's one of the only positions we haven't successfully invested quality young talent in.

Nothing like getting out of prison getting a great opportunity in the NFL and making the most of it… and screwing it all up in an afternoon.

He’s gone. With his history he might even end up in prison again depending on the facts of this one.

Yes, "beating a deputy" does not seem like a recipe for staying a free man. Not good at all.

It doesn't really matter what you or I would do, but what the Browns front office would do. There are some positions that I think they wouldn't take in the first round and those include DT, LB, S, OG/C, and RB.
