I really question what the front office is looking for from their two way contracts players. They seem to be all over the place with who they pick and how long they keep them on the two way contract.

Dean Wade just doesn't seem to have NBA level talent especially if he can't hit 3s at a very good percentage. My bet it will take him at least a year or two in the G-league to adjust his range out to the NBA 3 point line.

New Coaching Staff. Different coaching staffs will want different things from the 2 way players. Dean Wade just screams Beilein type player. Hes a big who has range and passing skills. But once Beilein learns about NBA Athleticism he will soon realize guys like Wade who excel in college as a stretch 4 just aren't cut out to be in the NBA. Out of all the summer league guys on our roster the only 2 I would want on 2-Way contracts are Bolden and Zoosman (Unlikely for Zoosman)

According to every report they don't wanna push him because of the meniscus injury. They want him to have ample recovery time.

I think Garland not playing is a Klutch thing. Bazzley not playing either

Naz is right on the borderline of being on an NBA roster. Probably won't happen in Cleveland, but his extensive experience in the Jazz developmental system has clearly been a big positive for him. He's well coached.

He not quite good enough to have a guaranteed spot, but he's better than a lot of two-way guys and way better than a lot of G-Leaguers.

Bazley hasn’t played basketball in quite some time. There’s no way his conditioning is where it should be.

Garland, after recovering from the meniscus, he, too, is likely way out of basketball shape.

I know it makes sense to say “Well, let them play themselves back into shape” but that also isn’t smart. They’ve only been under their team’s training staff for about a week and a half now.

Them out here in Vegas trying to showcase themselves while not being fit, that’s asking for an injury. Especially Garland who is still coming back from one already.

We’d all have loved to see them play, but it was probably the wise move making sure every single one of them is 100% going into the offseason program and fall training camp.

Beilein made similar comments about Kevin Porter Jr. in last night’s game. He’s healthy now, but they don’t want to rush him out there this late.

Teams have done it before. The Lakers did it last year with Malik Newman. If the guy ain't cut out for thr league you gotta do whats best for the team. Although I doubt they cut him free this early. Maybe after training camp.

True. How long do these summer league contracts last though? If we want to grab one of these guys for a 2 way shouldn’t we act early so another team can’t steal them or do they last through training camp too?

After watching that mess last night, it makes me wonder...Beilein has already lost the team , they aren't playing for him! Gilbert is rumored to be ready to say " YOU ARE SO FIRED!!"

Seriously this squad lacks some beef and talent..just seeing Taco Bell and how he looked like he was better than everyone because of being7'6", was annoying..just standing there blocking shots and getting stupid lobs.
