Stark: Coco on the south of 50/50 to be traded

An in article on ESPN.com he says all the rumors of Coco to the Red Sox dont appear to come true.

Coco will command a lot in return, which the Red Sox dont have anything to replace him with so he says dont look for it to happen.

Andy Marte isn't a nobody. He was rated the best prospect in the Braves organization by Baseball America. A power third basemen who has power to each field and plays solid defense.

I'm shocked that Crisp would be traded for body and a prospect but the quality of Marte shouldn't be questioned.

It should be...he is supposed to be a big bat but could only must .275 in Triple A?

That is not good by any means...Top ten prospect gets traded twice in 6 months, kinda shows what kinda value he really has.

Esp when the first time all he was traded for was Edgar Rentaria.

Marte was traded twice because the Red Sox don't want prospects, they can't play the game like the Indians can. He was what the Red Sox got for Renteria and $11 million. He is still the top 3B prospect in baseball, a position where there is no depth in the organization. I really like this trade, as Coco had a LOT more value for Boston than he did for the Indians.

I dont like any prospect that is supposed to be a big hitter but he can only get a .275 avg in the minors.

Not gonna cut it in the bigs.

He only hit .147 when he came up at the end of the year for the Braves.

This kid has no stick.

and Mark Maguire hit .187 the first time he was called up by the A's. Marte was younger then Mark when he got his first chance at the bigs.

Why don't we freaking trade everyone off our big league roster and just be a AAA, AA and A organization.

There is rebuilding and then there is this. You don't get a good team going and f'n deal someone like Crisp..

This deal was pending on if we could get Jason Michaels from Philly... Which apparently they have reached a deal..

Crisp's lifetime OBP is only .332 (Michaels from the Phillies has a .380 career OPS... He should be able to fill the role with ease) ....CoCo has a weak ass arm too...But he has a cute little name...

Mota could easily replace Howry.

Marte could be the gem....If he is, excellent... If not, oh well, I still like this deal because the Tribe improved....

It's not like we lost Sizemore....

I'm far from loving it, but I don't see it as a backwards move.. more along the lines of dealing from a position of strength.
