Collecting Obsessions

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What’s your favorite book you own? Do you have any signed copies of anything?

I don't have any signed copies of anything sadly... I never get rid of a book, but I have always like the Redwall series so some of them I have a few copies of...

Well I have thousands of Magic the Gathering cards.... I still play of course...

You probably play red and green. :bleh:

Hmm... I pretty much normally play anything but blue, but I have some blue. I am more of a synergy + aggro style of player honestly so color I don't care about as much. Most of my decks actually are duel with black in almost every single one lol

When it comes to my figures, I almost never pay retail price for them. I try to catch sales, 2nd hand purchases, waves that end up at discount stores (Ross, Ollies etc)

Been a month I've been in the new house, added another 17 figures that I managed to snag on sale for roughly half price.

Walked into Ollies because they advertised a couple fan channel exclusives I never picked up, found another 6 figures I didn't have. What was supposed to be a $20 turned into a quick $80 I spent. Resale on ebay would be about $250 at the moment.

I need to stop buying figures so I can buy steel studs and purple board so I can finish my basement, but can't pass up deals....

I was as big a comic book guy as one could humanly be in the 80's....I never got into these types of figures, but if I did, that planet eater is pretty sweet!
The ToyBiz figures from the early 90s were the coolest things at my elementary. Don't get me wrong, we all had Ninja Turtles, Transformers, etc, but Marvel figures were the top. I had long stopped collecting them as a kid.

When my dad was dying of cancer years back, I stumbled across figures for the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and the idea of a Build a Figure to get Groot was just too cool. And I suppose in an urge to reinvigorate a piece of my childhood, I started collecting these.

With the articulation in the hands, he's literally going to be standing in the corner with both middle fingers up as you enter my den.

Digressing to the Groot figure you mentioned....since the movies, I have not seen a Marvel movie character more beloved/intriguing to such a wide swath of people. Adult, teen or baby -- viewers love Groot!

I've been quite fascinated by that as well. Couldn't believe how marketable it became. People just couldn't get enough.

Anyone have any Archie comic books they’re looking to let go of. Big fan.

Sorry, nothing in my collection from Riverdale.
That said...I typically do not go for the blond, but Betty over Veronica for me -- every time.
